How do I change the Time and Date on a Merlin Legend system? To change either the Date or the Time on the Legend system, you must
program it from the main System Programming console (MLX-20L). This will
change the Time or Date on all the display phones throughout the system,
except the ATL (Analog) display sets. These phones must be programmed on
each individual set.
How to change the Date in the Legend system:
Press System Program.
Enter date in following format: mmddyy (where MM is the month, DD is the
day, and YY is the year).
Press Home to exit programming mode.
How to change the Time in the Legend system:
Press System Program.
Enter the time in military/24 hour format: HH:MM (where HH is the hour,
01-24, and MM is minutes, 00-60).
Programming the time and date for a Comdial Impact digital phone
system must be done from the attendant's station, usually the phone
located closest to the Comdial controller. Go to this station before
attempting to change the time.
Now the phone system's clock is ready to be reset.
Without picking up the handset, press the "Intercom" button on the phone. Dial * # 0 1. The digital display should read "Set Clock"
Set the year by dialing two digits (00-99)
Set the month by dialing two digits (01-12)
Set the day by dialing two digits (01-31)
Set the hour by dialing two digits (01-23)
Set the minutes by dialing two digits (00-59)
Comdial Impact phone with updated day and time.
Pick up the handset and set it back down to set the programming changes. The new date and time should display immediately on all phones connected to the Comdial system
CLOCK/CALENDAR SETTING Note: The date must be set in system programming (10-01). To set the system Time: 1. Press the Speaker key. 2. Dial 728. 3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour clock, 13 = 1:00 PM). 4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00~59). 5. Press Speaker to hang up.
This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting. The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.
To reset the base unit clock: - press the OK key - press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed. - press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last two digits of the year need to be entered). - The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. - The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK. - The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED". - Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.
First to change the clock to a 12 hour instead of a 24 hour requires a bit of CAUTION. You have to go into the technician level of programming so be careful. From a display phone, Press #, ( Programming ) is displayed, enter 20, ( MMC Disabled ) is displayed, enter password ( 1 2 3 4 is default ), enter function 4 for 12 hour clock, enter # to exit. If the time and date are displayed wrong you have to go to # 55 and reset time and date.
YY MM DD W HH MM format. W = Day of week with 1=Monday and HH MM must be entered in Military time even though you have a 12 hour clock set. Good Luck
