Don't get it ... you have the browser's downloader that you're not supposed to have, or you don't have the downloader you're supposed to have?
Anyway, why don't you try uninstalling the browser and reinstalling it? Or maybe uninstalling an upgrade that might have caused the problem or something. what browser do you have? I've never heard of this problem - downloads one time, doesnt' download the next
and also, there's a catch ... sometimes when you click Download somewhere, and you get the page to Accept the licence of stuff ... wait for that page or small window to load completely. if not, it can happen that you click I accept too soon, and he get's the message you do, but doesn't jet have the note that that's an order to start downloading and send the IDMN window to you to click start. that way you have to do it all again and wait three times longer.

I'm assuming that IDMN is Internet Download Manager. If that is the case, there open the options page for IDM and make sure that 'click monitoring' is turned on for whatever browser you are using.

I am a complete newbie and have to download a large number of photos and images over a 3 month period.i don't know how to download the pics i want or how to download them to a folder

To start from the beginning, we must say that downloading anything using the internet or surfing the net of course needs a Web-Browser or simply a Browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc.).
NOTE: The following instructions are just examples, you may try otherwise also.

If you are using Windows platform as the Operating System(OS), so it must have Internet Explorer(IE) pre-installed. Now double-click on 6_19_2012_3_22_39_am.jpg icon to get started. (if not, you may try installing other browsers, and then follow the instructions below. I presume, you have any kind of browser installed, and if I am wrong, please reply with a comment and I will tell you how to install a browser) :D
** I am using IE 9 here to tell you the process, and you may not find all the options if you use older IE versions like 6,7 or 8 ** IE 10 has all these features stated or depicted here**
The Internet Explorer (or other browser) will open with it's defined settings, either showing it's Homepage or a New Tab page. Now press Ctrl+T to open a New tab and in the address bar type www.google.com/ to go to Google.
**The address bar image is given at the bottom of this page.**
On the upper-left corner, click on images to go to Google images. In the Blank Field, type anything you wish, and press enter.
For example, I've entered "Niagara Falls at Night", and this is the result.
6_19_2012_3_41_37_am.jpg
You can also refine the result using the links on the left side such as, Large, Medium or Black and White etc.
To download the picture you want, right-click on that picture and select "Open in New Tab". This will open the image in a new tab, where on the right side, click on Full size image to get the maximum resolution of the picture. Now in that newly opened tab, right-click anywhere on that picture and select "Save Picture/image as", which will open a new window asking where to save the picture. Choose any location you want (say, Desktop) and click on Save.

6_19_2012_3_54_41_am.jpg

The Address bar looks like the following:
6_19_2012_4_15_22_am.png

In other ways, you can also grab pictures. According to my opinion, the best way is to go to www.google.com/ (don't go to images) and type anything (like, Butterfly pictures) and this will give you several results leading to different websites. Go to any site from the list you like, and save the pictures. (To go to any site, simply click on the link or right-click over it and select 'open in a new tab' to open that page in a new tab)
NOTE: As different browsers use different settings and search engines, the surfing experience and the search results may vary a lot when different browsers are used. And again, the above instructions are for the most basic purposes, and these processes can be done in many other different ways.
Hope this helps, Mrityunjay

I am trying to download from a CD Flower Paradise for the first time. I get a box that says Failed to initialize direct 30: result_invalid_color depth Please help me I just boaght this and it does not...

Before you begin, see if getting the latest Direct X for your system fixes the problem (you can get it here, just remember to specify that you don't want the Bing Bar in your browser, unless you actually do want it.)
Incorrect color depth sounds like a problem with the amount of colors your computer is displaying. You can try adjusting it - Click Start, then click Run. (Vista or 7, click Start, type run, click the result). Put in:
control desk.cpl,1,4
and press enter.
In Windows XP, click "Color Quality" drop down box, and try changing it (16 bit will probably work, try different ones)
In 7 (and probably Vista is the same), click "Advanced Settings", "Monitor", and change "Colors".

Every time i try to download the software, upon clicking the "download now" button, it takes me to a page saying "internet explorer cannot display the webpage" i'm running windows XP mediacenter edition...

hi,
try a different browser to diagnose wether its you or them. download google chrome(internet explorer equivalent) and then try and download it through that browser, if you cant get it to download through chrome, then you might have spy killing software blocking your download. try this go to start/run/and in the run box type "msconfig" see whats running in startup. the most usual culprit is spywareblaster or spybot . get into your antispyware program and look for a control that says "block bad download" and shut that off temporarily. this could take some time. But Hopefully its just internet explorer frying out, if it is then chrome should get your download going, if you still cant download it through chrome and your spykiller is disabled try contacting the webmaster or email them at the website where your trying to download that file and see if its indeed them. You can try and download that file from another location by using google and searching for an "alternative site for download". or try googling your problem as" cant download so and so" and see what it says then..

When i try to read my msg on yahoo.. i get an internet error

Kadi
Hope this help. Now let's try a few thing

1. First. Yahoo Beta Mail? Is that what you are using?
If so Clear your browsers cashe.
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
Click Delete files, and then click Yes.
Click Close, and then click OK.
You did that right? Now Completely re-Download all your messages. Every one of them.
Wait until they are downloaded. Don`t hurry. Hows that?
2. Well try this. = 2. In the new Yahoo! Mail, you don’t do this with your browser anymore.
Now, just change your
character encoding setting right in Yahoo! Mail!

Here’s how:

In the toolbar, click More Actions and select Set Encodings.
From the list that appears, select the encoding that matches the message’s content.
Note: Only one character encoding set may be viewed at a time. And in this case,
changing your
browser’s encoding setting will not work. Hows that?
Still can`t get it? Try Switch Back at the top of your page. (Don`t worry you can return)
Hows that?
3. Now you are in Original Mail Right? Messages all there?
If not try this. = Select any email where the header information is displayed, but there is
nothing in the
"body" of the message where you would expect to find text, etc.
Move your mouse to the area of the expected "body" of the message and right-click...on
the menu that appears, click on "Encoding"...on the menu that appears, if "Auto Select"
has a check mark, leave it as is...if not click "Auto Select"; then this menu will
disappear...right click again in the "body" to cause the same menu to display again...then
click on "Western European (Windows)"...you should now be able to view the "body" of
all messages that you couldn't view before...obviously, if the problem somehow occurs
again, do the same procedure described above again. I have no idea how or why these
settings get "changed" or "corrupted" after everyday use, but apparently they sometimes
do.
Hows that?
Now if those steps dont work do the following below.

Ok PC has problems then. Update your operating system, Browser, Shockwave Flash ,
Java. Everything. Get all patches. The whole works. Also try Firefox browser.

Note in Original / Old / Yahoo Mail in a pinch try this. =
Put message in Print Copy. Then read it. OR
Click Reply on Message to read it. Then backbutton out. OR
Put message in Excel or Wordpad to read it

Thank you. Please ket me know the results
