You reinstalled the RAM in the same slot as it was in before? Try taking it out. Cleaning all contacts with a pencil eraser then reinstalling. Go into the BIOS set up screen and select the defaults and save.

Foxconn G31MV board problem. Have 4gb of Ram and a 2.6 Duo core, have just installed a EVGA Geforce 210 1gb into the pcie slot and WIndows wouldnt start up. It went strait to repair or start normally...

The motherboard should support 4gb of ram. Was the computer working before the installation of the video card. This motherboard has integrated graphics on it, this means when you install a new graphics card you have to enable it in the bios(and disable the integrated graphics) the instructions should have come with the card as well as the installation drivers. Normally before you pop the video card in you should setup windows and install the drivers then when they are installed you put the video card in the slot.

If you are installing the ram for the first time you should check if the system recognizes the memory be going into the bios settings and looking at system memory if not I would recommend re-installing the ram.

There is no display. my ram, CPU and all other parts are in good condition. the keyboard light is on and the cpu fan starts automically.

If your monitor is working properly, the you might have a bad video card in your computer. Try several isolation.

1. Try to plug another monitor to your computer.

2. If you have a built in video card, try to install an external video card to one of those pci slots on *********** board.

3. If you have an external video card, try removing it from its existing slot and place it in another slot.

Good luck!

Will 800Mhz/667Mhz ram work?

I checked the site and downloaded the manual and the board takes straight DDR not DDR2. This may or may not be true because they may have made the board in a newer revision that uses DDR2. It seems unusual to me that your could get the DDR2 ram in that board since the slots are different on every version of ram.The manual I have here is for motherboard Version 3.1.Is yours the same? Here is the page address if yuo want to download the manual. Keep me posted on this one if you will.I want to help you solve this.

Computer not working

Hello,
This is usually a problem with memory, either video memory or ram. Try another good ram first, if nothing changes, then try a different video card.

Good luck and hope this solves your problem.

PC Won't Start After Initial Post

make sure the ram is the same name of kind. if you can get the old computer on, hit the esc key and go in the bois and hit save, and restart. this should bring the computer back up. check the piggs (jumpers) on the motherboard to see if all are the same, more them around and try each one, I hope this will help you.

Intel® Desktop Board D865GBF won't start but has power?

If you are wanting to try a reset, near the bios or cmos battery there should be 3 pins with a jumper across 1 and 2. To reset the bios, move the jumper to pins 2 and 3, then back to 1 and 2 for normal operation.

I thunk your rite it met its maker, sounds like you followed all the test procedures, and unfortanuly that's what happens from time to time working great on min then gone to the GB in the sky the next. unless you have a DX card or know someone that has one, (and thats only to confirm its dead) sounds like you need a new system board.
