Question about Proscan 32LA30Q Television

1 Answer

Right out of the box...I have sound but no color. Circut city liquidators won't take it back. Call the # on warrantee card and they don't return messages left on their machine. Repair shop says they can't get schematics for parts because the Company was sold. I took the back off looking for the fuses...I can't find them either.

I purchased a LG 32lx4dc tv from a hotel liquidator but i can't it to work at home? I don't have the remote. Can I access the menu using a universal remote? Will I ever get it to work at home?

Here is what worked for me:

1. On the LST-4100A box, there is a black, removable card with an F-connector (Cable In) and a RJ-11 (Data). Unscrew the two retaining screws and remove this card. There is an antenna-type connector on the inside that will need to be disconnected from the card.

2. Connnect the control box to the TV via the serial cable (Display Control).

3. Plug in power cables to TV and control box. Turn on TV.

4. There are two lights on the control box. Make sure the "Power" light is on solid and the "Status" light is flashing quickly. If not, cycle power on both the TV and the control box.

5. Press "Menu" and hold the button until the menu disappears.

6. Quickly, press "2 6 6 3" then press "Enter". A small menu should open in the upper left.

7. Scroll down to "DBox". Change to "Off". TV will restart.

8. Disconnect the serial cable from the TV. The remote controls should now work normally with the control box disconnected.

I switched Comcast cable boxes and get a great picture using The DVI connection in the back, I was using the 5 cable connection in the back. I don't even get static sound. I tried using my WII game box...

I can almost asure you the problem is in the cable, try switching the cable the thinner audio cables in the 5 strand color stream are often defective. and if all else fails switch to HDMI.

My 42LD450 won't stay on! It turns on for a few seconds and works fine, then the screen flashes then comes back on, then flashes again after a couple seconds, then turns off. Rinse and repeat. Tried...

I hope that you can use the warrantee.

Otherwize, it must be possible to repair it with a fried comfortable with electronic because the problem is not permanent. This kind of problem is usually an old capacitor or a bad connection (soldering).
It would be important to check if changing the ambiant temperature fixes the problem. (I.E. move it to the seller for 2h and try..)

No sound from any input. picture good

If the TV is under warranty, take it in for repair. If it is not, you can remove the back and check the sound card. If there is a fuse there, i may be blown. Not sure about the model of your TV... but it could be as simple as a fuse. The sound card has the two (or more depending on the model) wires one coming from the right of the tv and one from the left. It looks like this on my TV. If it's not on the sound card, check all fuses. And make sure the TV isn't on Mute! 8d1526c.jpg

PLEASE HELP!! I have a Polaroid 4011 TLXB. In normal use the red LED remains on in "standby," when powered on the red LED becomes blue. Suddenly, (literally, overnight) the TV stopped responding to...

Look on the power supply for a plug that has an id of voltages, you'll see one that says PO, that means power on, to kick the power supply up. Put you DVM on that pin and press the power button and watch the meter, you should have high activity, if it comes up to lets say 3.4 volts and falls off then the main board needs replaced. Let me know how you do!
