Question about Insignia LCDTV26 26 in. Television
I hate to beat a dead horse but I am experiencing the same symptoms. I was watching TV for an hour. I went to power off the TV. Before I pressed the power button on the set, I recieved a static shock (or the TV recieved the shock) and the TV turned off. The power indicator flashes from red to blue. This happened before. I called the repair center and they looked up the work order from two years ago. The problem from before was a Decoder Board Connector. Is it that part again? I can only assume since I don't have the proper test equipement.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have a 26" Insignia HD-TV and just found out the cable remote code (to connect TV with the cable box) is 0463. If that's not what you need, try calling Insignia's help line at 877-467-4289

I unscrewed all the screws in the back, detached the tv from the base, and was able to get the back off. I ordered a new power supply board and will install it to see if it fixes the problem with the tv (won't turn on, insignia light alternates between red and blue). I didn't notice any problems with "swollen" capacitors, so if the new power board fixes the problem I'll update this website.

And thus the wailing an gnashing of teeth. LCD TV's have really come down in price... Typically $500-$1000 for anything but ultra-high end. So something goes wrong with them.... what do you do? Typical repair cost is $250-$400 in parts, and that does not include technician house call, or labor to repair. Let's say you're the adventurous type and are pretty dang sure the problem is the PSU (power supply unit). So you order up one of those, it takes 6 weeks to get here from China. Costs you $300. You put it in and it doesn't work!!!
There you go.
So, anyways... Unplug the thing from the mains for about an hour and plug it back in. If it is still in an error condition, buy a new TV.

SOURCE: INSIGNIA LCD won't turn on
replace 2 condensers in the power supply with greater voltage ones.original are 1000uf 35volt...use 1000uf 65volt...99cents each
power circuit is made to fail with typical tv industry tactics...the warranty is reflected by the life of their condensors (capacitors) average life is 2000 hours..
if your a smoker...you must clean the button cover as they get stuck on with your stupid tobacco residue. 75% of all LCD tv's that smokers own fail this way...
TRY TO STOP SMOKING...
