Question about JVC DR-MV5S DVD Recorder/VCR
Have a JVC DVR/VHS model DR-MV5S, machine blinks and says loading, then nothing happens, then it says "reset", I cannot turn machine off or eject DVD, So I unplug machine and the whole thing starts again.
To eject the disk try first disconnecting the unit from power.
Connect the unit back after five minutes.
After connecting back try pressing repeatedly the eject button on the machine while you start up the machine at the same time.
If that does not work you will have to take apart the machine cover to remove the cd.

If it won't PLAY VHS tapes it must have a serious mechanical problem (if it even loads) or its heads are glommed up, so it obviously won't record them either. When's the last time you ran a cleaning tape through it?
Solve the load or playback problem and it will probably record.
Time and poor storage conditions are the mortal enemies of tapes. Store the in a 'played
