Question about Toshiba MW20FM1 20 in. Combo

NO CLOSED CAPTION VIA BOSE LIFESTYLE 20 SYSTEM

I HAVE A BOSE LIFESTYLE 20 SYSTEM CONNECTED TO SHARP AQUOUS 65" LCD 1080P TV AND CONNECTED TO BOSE VIA HDMI CABLE. MY SATELITE RECEIVER IS CONNECTED TO BOSE VIA A COMPONENT CABLE. I HAVE TURNED ON CC ON TV AS WELL AS ON SATELITE RECEIVER. BUT NO CLOSED CAPTION. BOSE TELLS ME THAT ALL HDMI DO NOT SUPPORT CC WHICH SEEMS TO BE DUMB. I RAN A COMPOSIT CABLE FROM BOSE TO TV AND SAT RECEIVER TO BOSE (TEMPORARILY) AND THE CC WORKS BUT THE PICTURE SUCKS.
ANY ONE KNOW WHAT BOSE IS TALKING ABOUT ? AND ANY WORK AROUND TO GET CC WITHOUT LOSING PICTURE QUALITY?

CC is a function of your cable box in this case. TV's have the feature as well, but Bose is right about not all HDMI devices supporting CC through HDMI, especially converting from component to HDMI before hitting your TV. The solution: call your cable provider for this. Start at the source. The cables you use or the TV won't 'take away' closed caption if it's already there.

Captation on TV screen can't get it off

Hello
To choose a Captions or Text setting, press "TV/CAP/TEXT". Each press brigs up a different settings. your closed-caption?text options are:
CAPTION CH1, CAPTION CH2, TEXT CH1 and TEXT CH2.
Note: Not all programmes carry closed captions or Text. If captions are available, they will probably appear on 'CAPTION CH1'
Press "TV/CAPTION/TEXT' button on the remote control repeatedly to On and Off the caption function.

How do you remove text from your tv screen

I am assuming it is the closed captioning that is showing... should be a menu item to turn of CC ('Closed Caption') or SAP (Second Audio Program tends to be bilingual and not CC).

Peace,

Using a portable dvd player

that's the one of the closed caption options in the tv set. on your remote control there should be a button labeled "cctv", cycle through the options untill you find the off mode. this could also be in the tv menu.
