My Sony TV will work fine for about 15 minutes and then will power off and the standby light will flash in sets of 3. I have not had any issues with my picture going dark or having issues. I did not get a message saying that my bulb was reaching its life end. I know the light code flashing in sets of 3 usually means the LCD door is not installed correctly, but I have not had the door off. Today I took the bulb out and tried to reseat the door, and to me the bulb looks fine and does not look burned out. The door goes back in place and locks down but it still will not come on. It has a flashing green light for a few seconds and then the flashing red code. I don't want to replace a bulb if that is not the issue, but not sure if there is anything else I can check.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I think you recently replaced lamp or opened lamp cover which is not installed properly.
Please check Lamp Cover because 3 times error shows that lamp cover is not fixed.

My WD-60639 DLP TV won't stay on (it goes off right after it gets on)

You should be getting a light or lights on set blinking in this case, and the set should have a self check if they blink etc---hold menu and input in at same time for more than five seconds and release both, the blinks on the power light should be a two digit code like three blinks, seven blinks which is 37 Let me know what if any code you find.

If you unplugged the set during this time it will clear the errors so you have to try to turn it on again, let it fail and do the check again.

MY REMOTE TURN THE TV ON, BUT IT TURN OF MY IT SELF. I CAN TURN THE TV ON BY POWER, BUT IT ALSO TURN IT SELF BACK OFF.

do the self check this set has, when power light goes off, ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS AND HOLD BOTH THE MENU AND INPUT (DEVICE) BUTTONS FOR AT LEAST FIVE SECONDS AND RELEASE BOTH.

Watch the power light, it will blink a two digit error code=====most common is two blinks, two blinks a pause and it will repeat the code several times.

This is to narrow down where the problem is.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

When the tv plugged up the power led blinks 3 times. When the power button is pressed the tv comes on for three seconds and turns back off. What could be the problem? Could this be a convergence problem?

Do the self check when power light goes out:

ON front of set (not remote) press and hold both the Menu and Input (Device) buttons at same time for 5 seconds or longer and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know code.

Left tv unplugged for a few months no tv won't turn on

The first thing to do is try to turn on the set with the remote and then when it doesn't respond go to the set and hold down the MENU and INPUT buttons at the same time until the power LED starts blinking a two sequence code. Like 2 - 4 or 1 - 2. The code will keep blinking for five or six times and stop. The blinking is the microprocessor telling you why the set is not working. We techs call that a self diagnostic function. Which this set has. Just repost your findings.

Power turn off after 45 minutes to 1 hour used

Check the "Sleep Timer" settings. If set to 45 minutes then TV would automatically turn itself off 45 minutes from being turned on. The variance in the "on" times is due to the TV turning itself off after not getting a signal from the remote for fifteen minutes.

Good luck,
