How to remove jammed paper
28/07/2013 Paper handling is key to Ensure trouble-free printing. However, paper jams sometime Occur.
You can improve feeding and Avoid paper jams in your OKI printer, by following these simple steps: Loading the Paper: When loading paper, fan the stack of paper before placing it in the tray. This will shake out any paper dust and reduce any static in the paper, two major causes of paper mis-feeds.
- Place the paper in the tray under the tabs.
- Do not fill above the "PAPER FULL" mark.
- Guides Adjust the tray for the correct paper size. Recommended Media: Use paper specified for the printer
When printing on heavy / thick types of paper, it is best to use the manual feed tray at the front of the printer. This will Provide a straighter paper path to Prevent potential paper jams. Cleaning: Periodically wipe the rubber rollers inside the area That holds the paper tray with a soft cloth.
dust Paper and simple wear may cause these rubber rollers to slip and not feed the paper properly.
Open the top. Pull on the top of the toner cartridge (don't release the latch, just pull it up). It will come up with the toner drum assembly attached. You will probably see another paper stuck there which can't be seen when the drums are installed. Also, open the back door and look for paper that might be stuck. But usually, when you've checked everywhere else, the remaining paper is flat under the toner drums. Once you get it out, just click the drum/toner assemblies back in place (careful not to let the green drum touch anything while it's out of the printer.
Hi Try turning the printer off and on. Look through the paper paths and remove any visible stuck papers. Clear any print queues. Solved? Disconnect printer from power for a few minutes and then connect it again.
This error often comes when there an paper jam or paper tray 1 or paper tray 2 or 3 is empty, make sure that you have enough paper in the trays and secondly make sure that you have there is no paper jam in paper roller, even an tiny particle of paper can cause this error.
Please open all the access of your printer pull out all the paper trays and clean it properly with air blower, this can fix this error.
This will happen if the belt isn't properly settled, so that the sheet of paper enters at a slight angle and jams. The roller loader will then fold it into an accordion shape.
While I don't understand how the printer let you print (the sensor should have raised an alarm), you could try extracting the belt unit and re-settling it. Verify the blue retainers have been fully rotated (one eighth turn clockwise) and the handle is completely down.
Unfortunately this may require and engineers visit. If you pull down the MP assembly by using the handle in the middle at the front of the printer you can then see a small "gearbox" at the right hand side of the transfer belt. This is common to feeds from both trays and could be worn. If you remove tray 1 and temporarily tape up the sensor arms to fool the printer into thinking it has a full tray installed, you can the test, by applying a little pressure to the feed roller, to see if it positively moves forward or if you are able to stop it turning. On a brighter note, you may just need new rollers instead of cleaning them.

Feed roller (large) Feed roller (small) (3) Clean the pad on the paper cassette with tightly wrung wet cloth or an LED lens cleaner. If your oki is like the 4300 we use it may be as simple as making sure the extention for the back tray (where the paper is printing to now) is pushed all the way in. This actually selects the tray option. If this tray extention is pulled out at all, your printer will print to the back tray.
