newish Husqvarna 350 starts easily, runs for 10 mins.then stalls.replaced cylinder, piston, intake boot twice, crankcase seals, muffler, gas line and sparkplug.problem still exists.with 6 hrs. run time Lowes wont replace it and Huqvaena said they will under no circumstances ever replace it.its been in the shop 4 times wich is where it remains since sept.2008!

When it dies open the fuel cap and see if it will run again. Mine did the same thing. It was a vapor lock. It has a fuel tank vent beside the fuel lines coming into the tank. It can easily get clogged and cause this problem.

Sound like the ignition coil is bad.......they have had some issues with them.are you taking the saw to a husquvarna dealer or just taking it back to lowes.some times they don't send them to a husquvarna dealer....

I have a huscavarna 435 chainsaw and after running a few minutes the chain locks up

You may have the chain tensioner set a little too tight.

Additional things to check:
  • The sprocket on the end of the guide bar is greased, and turning smoothly.
  • The chain brake is working correctly (not dragging or only partially disengaging).
  • The guide bar is straight, not bent or twisted, burr free, and the groove the chain travels in hasn't been squeezed together.
  • The chain tension is set correctly.
  • The chain oiler is functioning correctly (and you have a sufficient amount and correct type of bar oil).
  • Chain is in good condition, and the correct one for the saw. Make sure all of the links flex smoothly.
  • Chain is sharp. A dull chain will put more pressure on the guide bar because the cutting teeth aren't digging into the wood efficiently (and usually a person pushes harder on the saw when the chain is getting dull).

Husqvarna 450 e chainsaw chain tension wheel doesn't lock and the cover comes off during use

The adjustment handle snaps down to lock. If the handle is coming loose, I recommend replacing the handle. You can also go to standard bar bolt set up if you prefer. Check with your Husqvarna dealer for part numbers.

I have a husqvarna 345 run for a few cuts then stops.

either blocked fuel filter in the fuel tank ( hook out and replace ) or the fuel tank breather is blocked thus causing a vacume in the tank, to prove this, when the saw starts to die slacken off the filler cap, this will allow air into the tank and it should pick up again, the breather is pressed into the tank on the r/h side rear.

Husqvarna 235e will not stay running

Take the saw back for warranty service. We have a Husky #435 that had starting problems when new last year--warranty service replaced the ignition module the first trip, then a little later, they replaced the carburetor--it has worked very well since. I suspect that Husqvarna has had problems with our ethanol blended fuels. Hope this helps!

Husqvarna 350 oil not getting to chain

Take the bar and chain from the saw. Clean the two small ports that run from the large oil holes at the drive end of the bar out to the chain groove on each side. Clean the entire chain groove. Start the engine with these parts removed--oil should ooze out from the side port in the engine case with the engine running at med speed. If it doesn't, then there is trouble near the pump inside the case. When everything is back together, run the saw at full speed with the bar tip near a piece of cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil onto the cardboard after a few moments of running. Hope this helps!

I am having trouble with my husqvarna 61 .after running for about 10 minutes the machine stops revving as if it has run out of petrol, blip the throttle and it picks up again for a few seconds.any ideas?

Check to see if your tank vent is plugged.Fill tank full of fuel and run saw till you start to hear saw having problems, when this happens loosen fuel cap and see if it helps.Loosening the fuel cap will let air back into the tank if your vent is plugged.

Runs great for 30 sec. to 1 min. then dies slowly

Is it your chain saw Husqvarna 40?

Try carb adjustments H-3/4 turn ,L-2 turns and T a little higher
I presume that compression and ignition sistem is adequate for the engine to run.Good luck

two things could be happening.......first is vapor lock......make sure you breather tube is clear and working........next is ....it could have a bad ignition coil on it.....after the coil gets hot the spark can become irratic or just not work any more.....

Saw will not start Husqvarna 350

Hi

An engine needs three things to run(fuel and air mixed together in the correct proportions, compresion of the fuel/air mixture and ignition).Make carb adjustments, check the compression and the spark from the sparkplug.Priming the engine(put some gas into the sparkplug hole).Try to start the engine. If engine is running only the gas from the cilinder, the chain saw has a fuel delivery problem.Disassembly the carb and clean the inner parts.Check the fuel and air filters, fuel hose and gas tank ventil.

good luck!savumihai71
