Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
I just bought a Boompod video game seat which comes with the standard red and white audio connections. The problem is I use my xbox 360 through my tv's HDMI port. My tv is a 37 inch Vizio LCD and the 2nd hdmi port also has a connection for red and white audio jacks. But when I hook up the wires nothing happens, no sound from my seat. My question is if it is possible to hook up the seat while at the same time using hdmi?
It is a Boomchair Boompod by LumiSource, Inc.
no just plug the red white and yellow into your tv plug the red and white into your chair and there should be a black one on its own that goes into the side of ur tv

You have an HDMI connection on a Thinkpad T20???
Per definition, HDMI is supposed to send video and audio data from the TV to the PC -so, yes, it should work.
I say "should", because I tried to hook up my PC that way and I went back to a VGA connection (and sent the sound to an old stereo), because the resolution was awful.
I rather think that the audio cable is the culprit here - if the connectors are not fitting perfectly, they can create a lot of distortion.
Also check your audio settings on the PC (updated driver, settings not on maximum volume, etc.)
If you want to try HDMI, there is no need to get the ultra expensive "Monster" cable. Look here for an example.

If your computer has a svga output use input 7 on tv with vga to vga cable and 3.5-3.5 Radioshack 42-2387 cable for audio for best results. If you use the dvi to hdmi on input 6 on tv use 3.5- rca Radioshack part number 42-2551 1/8=3.5mm.

· Plug the power adapter into the chair and an outlet.
?· Press the "Wireless" button on the chair console to turn on wireless and choose a channel by pressing the "Channel" button until the light beside the channel goes on.
?· Set the wireless transmitter to the same channel by pressing the channel selection button on the side of the unit. The wireless transmitter requires three AAA batteries to function.
?· Plug one end of the 3.5-inch cable into the transmitter and the other end into the signal splitter.
?· Plug your game console cable into the console. Put the white cable into the white port and the red cable into the red port. Plug the other end into the game port on your television.
?· Plug the 3.5-inch cable directly into the chair's console and press the "Wireless" button to bypass the transmitter if you prefer a wired connection.
