Question about PC Laptops

PC doesn't show up anything

I became a smaller shock through the keyboard and since this point, nothing works anymore. The screen is black, the hdd is working (I connected it to another pc). No boot screen shows up. Was at a diagnosis shop, they tried to connect it to a external screen, no success. What can it be? Graphics Card?

    me too.

I think the graphic chip is placed on the motherboard. It is an ATI Graphic Card 128 GB (non shared). I guess it might be much more economical to get rid of the old laptop and to buy a new one. But thank you!

Probably. Depending on your laptop it's either onboard or a seperate card. If it's a seperate card then just swap cards. If not, then the entire motherboard will need to be replaced.

Yeah it's probably best to get a new laptop. It's so hard to let go sometimes. Trust me, I know. Best Buy has got a decent Compaq on sale for $350. It's a pretty sweet deal.

I have replaced the Fan for IBM R61e but the laptop is not starting .There is nothing on the idsplay just couple of indicators .

Does it make any sound?
Does something show up on the screen?
Are you absolutely sure that the fan is OK and spinning after you start it up?
Did you plug everything correctly back? For example didn't you forget to connect back your power up button part of keyboard?

You can try to remove the keyboard and other unnecessary parts like CD-ROM. Try to start it without keyboard and the powerbutton board. But be aware this may damage your computer if you do it improperrly.

How to fix the color?

do a system restore.. it will not erase anything.. it only restores settings.. start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore... (if you are running windows 7 click next then check the box "show more restore points") choose a date before the problem.. if that doesn't work re-install the video drivers from the manufacturer website. good luck

Do you see anything on the screen? Does the HDD LED blink? You can start by removing the HDD and testing it or have it tested.

Hi. I have a acer aspire 5520. After Bios is loaded, show a black screen with a blinking cursor. And not make nothing anymore. Regards.

This is either an issue with the HDD or the OS

Turn the computer on and when you see Acer press ALT + F10 together.

You should see Windows is loading files and then load into the Acer eRecovery Manager.

If you don't then its a HDD fault.

Black screen, all lights except hard disk on

Darling if it was loud and now it's not and no hdd light' I'm afraid it sounds like it's bit the dust. Time to either look for a new hdd or a new laptop all together. sometimes you can catch the sales and it's not hard to replace , usually just one or two screws. just remember to be patient and take your time. it's really tiny parts.good luck.please rate me if i helped.
