Question about Cosmi Family Entertainment Suite 10 (Win, Pack) for Windows

When I insert disc 1 it does not run.

I have tried the instructions on the disc and still nothing happens. I have had this pack for a number of years and have tried it on several different computers that I have owned but it never makes any attempt to load.

Have you cleaned the DISC? Make sure it is clean!
If not, use tooth paste or a liquid soad. Only rub the disc one way with the soap or toothpaste and not in circles.
Also if you are running VISTA, it will not work.

Lost disc 1 for superstar in Expansion Pack Volume 3


Usually you play the sims with expansions by using the game disk of the last expansion you installed. Superstar definitely is supposed to have 2 disks and disk 1 is probably the one you need. I know eBay has several full copies for sale under $5 including shipping. Amazon does too.

Game installs fine off of disc, but it keeps asking me to insert original disk when it is still in comp. why ?


The sequence of steps for playing the game may be that you have to fire up the game and then follow the prompts (insert the disc). There may be nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't look for the disc on the optical drive when you fire it up and therefore you have to eject it and reinsert as prompted. Also, try turning off your antivrus before attempting to play the game.

Installed the game ok but when I try to play a box comes up saying, wrong disc inserted please insert original gold pack CD/DVD. Why can't i play?


You seem to have a "Not original" game. You have to replace the game ".exe" with the cracked one. Your CD has a folder that called crack. Copy all the contents inside this folder, to the game's installation directory. Thanks. Please Rate my Solution.

i tried EVERYTHING to fix this. nothing worked, went to the retailer where i bought it and got another copy. same problem.
solution- go to cosmi.com, go to the customer service page, and tell them exactly whats going on. i did this and within a day i had recieved a reply e mail and within a week i had a brand new copy of the game e mailed to my house and this one works fust fine. my guess is that when they condenced the game onto one disk that someone somewhere screwed up pretty bad and they know it. it is NOT on the list of games when you send them the E mail but it IS on the list of supported titles. just pick any game and in the header write something like THIS IS NOT CONCERING (whatever game you selected). I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH STAR WARS EMPIRE AT WAR GOLD PACK. and like i said, customer service was great. game is pretty sweet too. kthnxbai.

I have the PC version of the age of the piratee:caribbean tales. when i put the disc into the computer nothing happens. i look for it on the computer. how would i go about downloading it onto my computer...

Normally the disc will automatically start once its inserted into the pc if this doesn't happen try these steps:

Left hand corner click start find my computer and once you click my computer you should see your local disk and other drives the pc game should show up in this section for you to run if you see the disc double click and it should start up...Try this and if nothing works please reply cheers

My laptop can't read any disc... when i inserted a disc,,nothing's happened...and when i tried to open the disc,,,it said: "no disc inserted,please insert a dis to drive .... " but absolutely the disc is...


I had this problem.. This is your cd-drive saying "Replace me" lol Its basicly had it and it dosnt want to do anymore reading could be that you laser in ur cd-drive is craked and that it inst picking it up.. Best bet it to tke it to a pc shop and get it checked!

Try uninstalling the orignal and expansion pack. If you have any other expansion packs uninstall them aswell. Install it all from scratch. If the problem doesnt subside, check your System Requirements, it may be that your computer doesnt support the data from Sims2.

Microsoft FSX will not load on my new Vista PC


Hello hshames,
The game requires Windows XP SP2, or Vista..So that should not be the problem.

First install the latest version of Direct X which you can download FREE HERE.

Below is a small summary of what may be causing your installation problems.
This seems to be a problem some users are having.It seems to be either software related (other software not the actual software on the FSX disc itself), or hardware related (DVD drive not reading the disc properly).

To try solve this issue, follow these steps in order. If the problem is solved after step 1 (for example) you do not need to follow the instructions following that step. if not solved, move to the next step in the chain.


1. Some DVD readers can take up to 2 minutes to detect disc #2 (for reasons unknown). If the disc appears not to be detecting, just leave the computer for a few minutes and come back and check. Some users have reported that the disc #2 finally detects and installs correctly several minutes after inserting the DVD into the drive.


2. Manually browse the Disc #2 file contents in either Windows Explorer, or by accessing the DVD through the "My Computer" option and check the files on Disc#2 are actually different to those on Disc #1.


3. If you have the hard drive space available, copy the contents of both DVDs to a temporary folder on your hard drive, and install the product from the hard drive copies.
