My panasonic KX-TG5000 phone headsets cannot make or recieve outgoing calls and the intercom function is gargly.

You need to reset the menu once again as it is possible that the phone had hung up as there was LINE PROBLEMS . Once this was reset the CLIP facility came back. So if you can once again remove power battery and keep aside to reset , then start all over to set up the base and slave units to MESH , the intercom and line facility must work.
You can remove the battery from the slave remote units to reset.

How do I remove a Plantronics headset and set the phone back up to ordinary headset?

I am presuming that you mean how do you remove the plantronics headset and start using the handset, firstly unplug the headset and put the handset back in to the underneath of the phone- if you are unsure check one of the other phones on your phone system. at the telephone with the handset in its cradle dial TRANSFER 110, using the volume key scroll down until you read 'HEADSET USE: ON' , press the 3rd small button under the screen, your cursor will now be under the word 'ON' , press the volume key and it will say'OFF' now press your TRANSFER key. At www.abbeytelecom.com you will find over 60 training videos relating to the Samsung Prostar phone-system. I have loaded one for you as a sample for future reference

I am buyind a gn2020 headset with amp I am looking for the code

you need to program headset keys on the phones if you have headset jacks on them. This is done in key data memory block 4-12 for each phone and than choose which LK(line key) once on the right line key hit the line keys on the phone and you will see different thigs like CO, FA, ICM, just hit them all till you see headset. Transfer key writes the data and the recall key turns the pages so the line keys will say something different. or call tech support ldtsnj.com

Plantronics headset connected to Mitel 4025 - won't work!!!!

You need to have a headset button on the set, and you need a release button if you want to transfer calls to others.
Press the Blue SuperKey and press all the buttons (one at a time) to find a spare button or find one that you do not use or need. Press the * button to change the button (scroll thru the options to find headset).
Once you made the button in to a headset button, press button to turn on or off the headset. Once the button is lit up, this means that the headset is active, now try pressing the call with the receiver off hook.
This should do the trick... if not write back and I will attempt to help you more.
Good Luck!

HEADSET

A button must be programmed as a "headset" key. When activated, it will lamp red, and put the conversation on the headset jack under the phone (next to the handset jack).

Or you can purchase a headset with an auto lifter for the handset. It picks up the handset enough to answer the call, but transfers the conversation to your headset.

The picture here is of a Comdial phone I am familiar with but that is not what you are describing. I am not familiar with your specific phone but it sounds like you have the phone in headset mode. There may be a button to turn this feature on/off that was hit by mistake.
