This is my first time on this board. Assuming I can get a # from the old part, can I safely find a new part on this site?

  • gregb672 Feb 21, 2009

Only board in bottom of machine has a large heat sink on it and no burned spots. Further analysis - seems to wash fine till final spin out then cycles back and forth between 8 and 9 minutes on control panel till I shut it off.

I have the same problem...Wash cycle works fine. When the washer gets to the spin cycle it starts to spin up but then stops. When the door unlocks, there is water left in the drum. This happens occasionally but is getting more frequent. The first service technician to look at it couldn't find a problem since it was a random problem but stilled charge $100 fee to look at it....

I'm wondering if it could be a loose belt causing the problem since the belt came off once when I was having this problem.

Same issue, won't spin out, stays stuck on 1 Minute remaining until we shut it off. Water drains out fine, but it will not run the final spin.

Does the machine start to ramp up, stop, then tumble, and repeat this cycle during the spin cycle? If so, there is an open in the balance circuit. See the wiring diagram located in the console. The earlier Neptunes have blue wires going to the balance & inertia switches. You could have a loose wire or a flakey inertia switch. You can bypass each switch with a jumper and see if the problem goes away with that switch bypassed or you could try to use an ohmmeter with a continuity beep function and listen for breaks in the beeps when you tap on each inertia switch.

See for a cute song that explains the Q6 R11 door latch wax motor failure on all of the MAH3000, MAH4000, MAH5500A and the 2000 stackers.

If you remove the motor control board, you will probably see burnt spot on the board.Board and motor need to be replaced, pretty expensive repair.

Use the model number to get the part, sometimes you can get this part on Ebay. Use model number first and then put part number on ebay,

Why does my washer do every thing but spin dry could a pressure swicth be bad on door?

Good Afternoon Dale,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000ES, not spinning your clothes dry. First, if the drum is not spinning at all, I suggest resetting your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Once power is restored run a spin only cycle. If it starts spinning and the clothes are still coming out damp, try one of the following:

1)Try changing the spin speed to a higher speed.
2)Make sure that you have not overloaded your washer.
3)Make sure that the wash load is not too small. If you are only washing a couple of items, try adding 1 or 2 similar items to balance the load.
4)Try rearranging the load to allow proper spinning.
5)Check the drain hose for any kinks. If it is kinked, straighten it.
If you are still having trouble with your washer spin drying, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

    -Best Regards-

I have a hotpoint whirlpool washer I cleaned out the filter as it would not empty now it won't spin

Error codes? may say bad board/replace board, but don\'t. Try to refrain. The likely cause is the wax switch on the door lock mechanism. I am not a proponent of replacing a pcb because the error code says to. After all, resistors and like components are only 0.5 cents. My washer just had a similar problem, it was a $19.95 wax switch. It has a plungher wwhich pushes a set of contacts together, sends a signal to the board telling it that the door is locked and it is safe to spin. Its true. Redundant but true. I am sure it was designed with the service industry in mind. $125.00 for the service call ( just to show up), then order the board and secretly install the $19.95 part, likely get it for $4.00 and laughs all the way to the bank. Mostly I find service guys are friendly enough, but if they sense a mechanical deficciency in the customer, they take advantage

Displays LE won't spin

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

For many LG's 'LE' normally stands for '(door) Lock Error' indicating that there is a problem either with the door lock or the door locked sensor requiring a service call, sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Powerlock 1000 started beeping! New batteries no help. Won't lock or unlock!

This is the relevant excerpt from the troubleshooting instructions:
Why is my Powerbolt 1000 unit beeping?
To determine why your lock is beeping abnormally, please follow these steps:
  1. Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
  2. Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
  3. If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1).
  4. If the unit continues to beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced (A17734-3,3 Powerboard 1470 brass finish; A17734-3,26D Powerboard 1470 satin chrome finish; A17734-3,5 Powerboard 1470 antique brass finish).

Just installed this lock - second one we tried (first didn't close all the way) Backlite is not working. did we oversee something?

I have reviewed the on-line installation instructions for this lock, and it requires attention to detail to properly install.
For instance, the first one may have not closed all the way if your door has a 2 3/4" setback instead of 2 3/8", and you did not extend the bolt and adjust the latch as shown in figure 2 of Step 1.
Also, if you don't run the door handling routine properly as in Section 8, the lock won't work properly.
But I believe that you are past that learning curve after the second installation, and I don't know why the backlight won't work on your new lock.
I didn't see any option to enable/disable it in the instructions. So my suggestion: If the lock is otherwise working properly such that the backlighting is the only problem, I'd give a call to the Customer Service number 1-800-677-5625 and discuss it with them. They will let you know if and what the problem is, and a new lock is certainly under warranty!

Good luck!

My samsung 7kg front loader keeps flashing UE on the error code (spin cycle) and I can't open the door

UE = Unbalance Error

Laundry load is unbalanced, manually loosen any tangled laundry.
If only one item of clothing needs washing, such as a bathrobe or jeans, the final spin result might be unsatisfactory and an UE error message will be shown in the display. Unbalance error is cleared by POWER switch OFF and back ON.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.
