Power to house shut off, now the freezer wont turn on

the power to the house went off. got the generator started to take the load of my house. upon outside power comming back on and switching the power. I have noticed the freezer wont work. I made sure it wasnt the outlet and went from there. I dont see the power light on and i dont hear the compressor running? Any ideas would be great.
