Question about Kenmore Dryers

Dryer does not create heat during a cycle.

My Kenmore Dryer - Model #11060902990 - does not create heat during a cycle. What could be the problem?We cleaned the vent and checled the product manual to no avail.

Remove the back panel and check the glow ignitor. You may need to pull it out if you do not have a volt meter and look for a white line going across it as this would tell you it is broken. 5/16 nut drive or wrench will remove this piece and you can get one at your local appliance repair store for about 25 dollars

call sears service . sounds like the exhaust blower has failed you or perhaps the filter us plugged and needs cleaned out which should be done before or after each use

Kenmore dryer model 110 does not stop during automatic cycle


Make sure the small orange wire is connected to the 250 limit at the base of the heater assy. That is what powers the motor on auto cycle.

You have answered this question before but does the ignitor stay on during the drying cycle? Kenmore series 80, model 110 72822101 gas, It starts correctly, ignitor glows, gas ignites,run for 5 to 6 min....

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly. if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip.... no,that's how they run,if your clothes are drying and the dryer is cycling on and off,leave it alone,if the clothes are taking a long time to dry clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and blow out the vent line with a leaf blower if it's a long run

your heat sensors or your duct is clogged unplug, cutoff gas if you have it. disconnect the hose clamp remove rear panel remove lint by picking light brushing vac.remove screws in duct reconnectwith foil tape hoseclamp, remove all kinks slopes,and crushes. karl

Cleaned vents, dryer gets very hot, shuts off w/o drying clothes


Sounds like a faulty operating thermostat. Only way is to test on a electric griddle that you can set the temperature to 150 deg and measure with a ohm meter.
