Roper washing machine fail to remove enough water from clothes on spin

    My Roper doesn't spin very fast at all. I've gotten into it and the pump and discharge hose is clear. My drain is clear. The discharge hose is in the drain tube about 4 inches. Wondering ......

I had the same problem, I found that my discharge hose was partially plugged and when the water level get down to a certian point it would not drain,

Took me 3 days to figure it out........

Possibly the centrifugal clutch is slipping, would need to be replaced, Go to appliance guru to see how this is done, they have step by step on this procedure.

Roper rtw434osq0 not spinning/draining water


Set the timer to spin manually and turn it on.
Does it spin?
If not,
Your lid switch is bad and must be replaced.

If yes it does spin.
The timer is bad.

check the switch under the door , it could be damaged , check with a multimeter at OHMS setting , if there any reading then switch is OK , if not try to clean it up with tuner cleaner , you can purchased at RADIO SHACK.

Agitator not spining properly to pull clothes down into water


remove agitator cap remove boplastic cover underneath remove bolt remove upper portion of agitator replace agitator dogs part # 80040
