Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer
When the printer is opened you see the four toner cartridges closing up from top to bottom K, Y, C then M - the magenta one seems a little slow. However the real problem is that the entire print head is covered in toner, magenta on the left and cyan on the right - therefore anything I print comes out with two large smears of toner. I once had a similar (smaller) problem when a label peeled off and jammed the magenta cartridge (that has been replaced) once I discovered the label and removed it, printing went back to normal - I have examined the cartridges and do not see any obstructions.
In speaking with other tech support people it appears my image drum needs to be replaced. Also sounds like it will be more economical to buy a new printer.
