Remove a small coin sized CMOS battery to store all BIOS settings along with the password. To reset the password, unplug the PC, open the cabinet and remove the CMOS battery for approx. 15-30 minutes and then put it back. For this you need to change the bios password which can be done in few following ways:
1. If you can handle opening your hardware then you should remove the CMOS battery from your system(attempt only if you are hardware expert) and then re-insert it....your bios password has been removed and problem thus solved.....make sure while doing it every thing including power supply, any usb device should not be connected to the system....
2.Otherwise the backdoor password for your Dell system is "Dell"(without qoutes)...
There is no other mechanism for resetting your bios password in Dell....
