When I turn on my emachined620 laptop I am informed PXE-E61 Media Test Failure then Operating System Not Found. How can I sort this problem

If you using your nb with network boot os media, please re check your cable connection to server media. Or
If you using internal hardisk for boot up your system operational you might have accidentally change Boot Order on your BIOS setup.

How to enter bios:
On power on you might see instruction on the bottom of your screen like => Press F2 to enter setup or some thing like that.

Make sure to disable Network Boot option, or move it to the bottom / last of Boot List Option

Press F10 to save it, and reboot

It wont boot, goes to black screen with whit blinking dash

Yes, this sounds like the traditional black screen issue, but it's different! This machine is a Dell Dimension 3000 with XP. System won't boot. After Blue Dell BIOS splash screen with F2 & F12 options, it just goes black. There will ultimately be a white cursor in the upper left hand corner. I can edit BIOS with F2, I can get in to the boot menu with F12, but I can't do anything after that. I can even get in to the Safe Mode menu (F8), but it never boots.

Boot priority is disabled and enable in bios screen .you have to press F2 whilst booting to get to this configurable facility For some machines its F11,F8,or evenF9
Here you should be able to reset default settings also please use tab and arrow keys to navigate through bios and dont make any serious changes untill you are sure of the outcome

What is the boot up sequence please

You need to go inside BIOS to find out whats the boot sequence. To activate the BIOS Utility, press F2 during POST (when “Press <F2> to enter Setup” message is prompted on the bottom of screen).
Press F2 to enter setup. The default parameter of F12 Boot Menu is set to “disabled”. If you want to change boot device without entering BIOS Setup Utility, please set the parameter to “enabled”.
Press <F12> during POST to enter multi-boot menu. In this menu, user can change boot device without entering BIOS SETUP Utility. Navigate to BOOT page on top.

Hope this helps!

Notebook Gateway 7330GZ won't boot

Hm...That sounds like either the motherboard is dying/dead or a device is (such as the hard drive). I would suggest removing one piece at a time and see if you can get past that screen. The most annoying would be if it is the DVD drive since it's probably the most difficult device to remove from the laptop. (If memory serves it involves removing a certain screw from the bottom and then getting under the keyboard so you can push it out).

Do you have a second stick of RAM installed? Mine died a while ago and caused real heck with my 7330GZ.
