Acer apsire 3050, high DPC spikes. System sluggish/unusable

I have an acer apsire 3050-1150. The specs: Amd Sempron 3500 processor, 1.8 ghz, ATI radeon xpress 1100, Windows XP SP3. I keep getting unusually high DPC's, deferred procedure calls, and hardware interrupts. The whole system was running fine until a few days ago. I don't know what happened to it and I have no idea how to fix it. The spikes only happen when I enable the wireless connection and I am connected to the internet, otherwise the computer runs normally. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
