With my camera on the dock and the dock light is on, the battery light does not come on at all.The camera is turned off. It does not show to be charging or to be charged. No light at all. Nearly new battery.This just started a day or two ago. Its been working fine. The dock is Kodak easy share HDTV dock. The camera is Kodak Z8612 IS.

    My camera is on the dock. The "on" light is on. The battery charge light will not come

    on or blink. It is a nearly new battery. The camera is turned off. I have taken the battery out and put it back in. It has been working fine until the past day or so.

    Camera is Kodak Z8612 IS

Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that the cleaning leaves in the camera, and then reinstall the batteries. This clears most power-on problems, but if yours persists, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

It is likely the battery is not making contact properly or is not getting fully charged.
Check the instructions on battery connection on page 9 and confirm the lights are blinking correctly to show battery is charging.

My kodak eastyshare z760 flashes red when on the battery charger but yet, the battery never shows fully charged.
I had the same problem. I needed to take the clear plastic insert off but then I had to put a rubber band around the dock and camera (more on the left of the camera and dock) to hold it evenly on there since the camera was leaning on the right and wasn't charging for me. Now it charges as soon as I put it on there with the rubber band with no blinking red light anymore! Hope this helps!

Camera wont charge
Hi, if you are using the KLIC-5000 battery try to clean the metal contacts on the battery. Try also to remove the battery of your camera dock your camera on the docking station then turn on the camera, if the camera will not turn on it means the charging mechanism of the dock is defective. Now if the camera turns on it means the battery is defective that is why you can charged it.

It seems that the Milli Amps on your rechargeable batteries are to low you will notice on each battery it will show the amplitude purchase a higher amplitude.

Won't charge

My Kodak EasyShare DX4530 camera dock not charging batteries.
There was an issue with the 4000 series and the NiCd batteries I remember that had to do with the contacts in the camera.  The charging circuit is in the camera so you have to make sure that the battery contacts are clean, both on the battery and in the camera.

Kodak DX6490 Not Charging
mine did the same thing, only it hadn't been dropped. Turns out, the battery went bad. The repairman said that the life of those batteries is only about 3 years average. He also said the average lifespan of the camera itself, with frequent usage, was only 3 years! I am still hoping to get the auto focus fixed on mine though. I sure did love that camera.

When I put camera on docking it win,t show charge
First, the dock will charge only the batteries that came with the device; not other rechargeable batteries.
Be sure that the Kodak battery is inserted correctly, the door is closed securely, and that the camera is securely seated in the dock with the power cord secure to both the dock and the AC outlet. The USB cord does not supply power to the dock.
