  • Unplug machine.
  • Press 1, then 9.
  • Plug machine back in.
  • Press 1, then 9 (again).
Machine should then initialize and be ready for service.

If it does not work it needs a New image processor board and its around $400.00 retail cost. I work at a Canon dealer. Its the only real way to get rid of the problem.

This solution worked for "Download Connected", may it will also work for "Download Standby"

With the machine on, unplug machine from surge protector or outlet. While the machine is off push the Copy, Scan, Start button in that order 3 times. Plug the machine back up. The machine should initialize and be ready to copy. Hope that helps!

Morning, it flashes red light six times

From the manual:

Press the (ON/STANDBY) switch to turn on the projector. If
the power is not turned on, disconnect the AC power cord, then
confirm the ON/STANDBY lamp is turned off. After about 10
seconds, reconnect the AC power cord and turn on the power
again. If the indicators still light up, the electrical system has a
problem. Consult with qualified Sony personnel.

Does this model have a battery backup?

All smoke alarms that connect to your household electricity must be replaced every 10 years by code (NFPA 72). Chances are the device is indicating low battery, but it is time to replace it and all others of the same age. Check your local hardware store or call a licensed electrician to replace them.

Lenovo t400 cannot boot. have "z" light only

Hi vincent,

I see that you have a "z" light indicator on the system when powered ON but you see no video on the screen.

The "z" Indicator means that the system is turned ON and ready to use but is in standby mode.

To disable standby mode on your system simply press the FN button for about 5 seconds on the system make sure that the machine is turned ON, this will make you system go back to normal mode.

Note:
For additional info on the issue the system can be put to standby mode by holding down the FN+F4 for a second or two this will enable standby mode on your Thinpad T400 and to disable the standbymode press and hold down FN for 5 seconds.

I hope that this will be of help regarding you concern, have a nice day.
