Question about Kenmore 44102 Front Load Washer
There is a coin trap built into the drain boot but it will not leak if there is something in it.
There are several places the water could be leaking from, the first thing is to try and locate the source by removing the front kickplate panel and visually inspecting.
Here are some places to check...
-Inspect the door seal (bellows) for holes/tears
-Inspect the drain boot (rubber boot connecting drum to drain pump) for a loose clamp or holes/tears
-Inspect the tub bolts which hold the 2 tub halves together. Remove the top of the cabinet and look for a gap between the 2 drum halves. Feel your way around where the tub halves join. If you feel water or see soap residue tighten ALL the bolts.
-Inspect the drain hose (inside and out) for any holes
There are a few others but those are the most common.
Let me know if that helps. Good luck!
