The best way to solve a blue screen problem is to look at the dump file and get the bucket id from the dump file.

This is the best article i have come accross to analise dump files is this http://www.networkworld.com/news/2005/041105-windows-crash.html?page=1

once the have the bucket id it should tell you what caused the crash

What is the difference between the start screen and the apps screen in windows 8?

The Start screen is the default screen that shows ups when you turn your computer on. Most of the programs and applications installed on your computer will appear there. However, some programs and applications such as Paint, appear on the App screen. You can, however, move those to the start screen by right clicking them > Pin to Start. Finding the App screen is easy: Right-click a blank area in the Start screen > All apps icon at the lower right.

My Acer Aspire 2920 has a cracked screen so am trying to use it with an E-Machines EM-150 TFT but this only works if run in safe mode and the Fn-F5 toggle does not work at all. Trying to run windows...

Alright, When you connect a second screen, it will by default expand the screen rather than duplicating it. You can change this though.
I'm going to assume that you're using windows 7. If not, other versions of windows are nearly the same but if you need more details I can still help you our.
Move your cursor to your second screen and right click on your desktop, then click Screen resolution. A window should pop up, hopefully on your second screen. If it popped on your laptop's screen you can use this little trick: Press and hold the windows flag key + press the arrow to the right key a few times while still holding the windows key. Basically Windows key + right arrow key. Doing this a few times will move the window to the new screen.
When the window is visible you can see the screens, set the second screen as your standard screen by clicking the little marker.
Also set it to duplicate screen instead of expand screen. Press ok and it should work ^^

I install window 7 but my benq 15" lcd monitar's screen rosuation not competible. pls guide me how i increase the rosulation thnx

As for your 15" LCD BENQ Monitor, "1024 x 768" pixels is the Maximum Resolution
If you increase your screen higher than the Maximum resolution you get a black screen! because the monitor cannot support the resolution higher than "1024x768" pixels.

How to change your screen resolution Win 7-> Link

FYI
Here are typical resolutions for some popular screen sizes
19-inch screen (standard ratio): 1280 x 1024 pixels
20-inch screen (standard ratio): 1600 x 1200 pixels
22-inch screen (widescreen): 1680 x 1050 pixels
24-inch screen (widescreen): 1900 x 1200 pixels

Hope it helps.

When i turn on the laptop it shows blank screen only.how can i fix it. thanks

Do you see anything at all such as the boot up logo? can you hear the HDD spining? if you can hear the HDD spining but you see nouthing try the following.
connect an external monitor. Look along the function keys and find one with a screen logo on it press fn and the appropriate F key and it will switch to the external monitor. The switching of screens is normally 3 cycles 1. external monitor on 2. both laptop screen and external monitor on 3. back to laptop screen.
If the external monitor comes on it's the screen inverter or screen at fault.
Once you have confirmed what the problem is we can move on to checking the screen wiring or a screen or inverter change.

Change xp bootscreen resolution

You can not change the bootscreen resolution. The bootscreen has to be 640x480 px and 16 colors. Nothing else will work.

There is a great video about how to change your boot and logon screen in Windows XP. Look here.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Freezes on android splash screen

It may mean that your Android need to be re-flashed with the update that you have on your SD card. While your phone is off hold the HOME and THE POWER button at the same time to enter recovery mode. Once you see a triangle with a memory chip under it open your keyboard up and press ALT+L, once here you will see options to wipe phone ALT+W and then ALT-S to re-flash the phone again. This should bring your phone back for you so it will boot up, the only thing is that it will lose what you had on the phone as apps, but those are easily download-able again.
