Read all first!
you didn't say how many blinking
and in what order so ...
First thing you need to do is print an EEPROM information page, step number 2 below.
Once you have an EEPROM print you can reset the waste ink counter, if needed, which is step number 4 below.
Service Mode: This printer has a service mode for service-related settings and for performing test prints. The operator panel buttons are used to enter the desired service mode.
Service Mode Operations
With the printer powered off, hold down the "Resume Button" and press the "Power Button".

While holding down the "Power Button", release the Resume Button" and press the "Resume Button" twice in succession. Now release the "Power Button".

The indicator will blink in green and remain lit in green.

Select one of the following service mode functions by pressing the “Resume Button” the specified number of times.

1 time = Service test print.
2 times = EEPROM information print.
3 times = EEPROM initialization
4 times = Waste ink counter resetting
5 times = Destination settings
6 times = Print head deep cleaning

Then press the “Power Button” one time to perform selected function.

If you press the "Power Button" two times it will take you out of service mode.

This information is listed above in this thread and many times in other Canon threads in this forum. I simplified Canons wording so I could remember the service mode functions easier.

My printer canon mx328 error 6000

This information is directly from the Canon website, basically it suggests something is stuck inside. Other articles I found mentioned one person found a paperclip stopping the works.
---- quoting Canon ----
6000/P03 - Orange and green light blinking 3 times Description:

A service error has occurred.
Resolution:
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cable.
  3. Open the printer cover.
  4. Check for any orange protective tape or white polystyrene and remove if necessary.
  5. Check that there are no foreign objects in the printer (such as a paper clip) and remove if necessary.
  6. Close the cover.
  7. Reconnect and turn on.
If the above solution has not resolved your error, please contact your nearest Canon authorised service facility using the link at the top of the page.

Canon iP1800-alternating flashing lights. 1 long green, 3 short orange. How do i troubleshoot this? It is a ''Service Error 6000''. Which translates to a paper jam, however, there is no paper in the...

1- Please open the cover and inspect the inside of the printer carefully. There might be a little piece of paper or a tiny object jammed in there and is causing this error message. Also get some canned air and clean the inside of the printer. 2- Restart the printer.

    Problem with Code 6000

Hello, according to another expert at fixya:
"Error 6000 is a service call error, meaning that the printer needs to be taken into a canon authorized service facility for repair.

This is a line feed error, with the problem originating from the timing **** disk film or the printer's logic board. "

Battery light flashes 4times orange then 1green

We had the same problem. I figured out it was NOT the main battery, but the auxilary battery. The batter life WITH the auxiliary was 68% total, when I removed the 2nd battery the battery life shot back up to 98% AND the flashing orange / red lights were gone (both on the power source and off). I then replaced the auxiliary battery with a spar back up to make SURE that it was not a fluke and with the new backup battery firmly in place the lights still did not flash. Problem solved.
