Frigidaire electric cooktop locked

I appreciate your post, friend!

I noticed your question is labeled under Frigidaire cooktop model, FEC30S7E. I have located the Use and Care Guide for your cooktop and I was unable to locate a lock feature. You could perform a reset on your appliance and you can do that by unplugging the power cord or flipping the circuit breaker off for ten minutes.
If that does not correct your issue could you please provide me with your model number? Usually you can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) inside your burner box or on the outside of the appliance base. With that information I can look further into your model. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

Why does a Fridgedaire 30" standalone range burners will not click or light

Hello Friend, this is Z. I appreciate your post!

From what you have described, it sounds like your Frigidaire gas range possibly has a faulty spark module or electrodes. At this point, I would recommend reaching out to a qualified technician or alternatively, visit the manufacturer website for a comprehensive listing of appliance techs in your area. Best regards!

EW30MO55HS Electrolux 30"microwave doesn't turn or heat

Good Morning Jody, thank you for your post!

If your Electrolux microwave (EW30M055HS) has power but does not heat, often the possibilities include one of four culprits:

·Power Supply
    ·Plugged into GFI Outlet
    ·Faulty Control Panel
    ·Faulty Magnetron

I always recommend resetting your microwave first. You can do so by unplugging your appliance or flipping the circuit breaker for about 30 seconds and then turn your microwave back on. If your microwave stills does not heat or turn, I would recommend reaching out to a professional or alternatively, visit the manufacturer website for a comprehensive listing of appliance techs in your area.

The gas stove oven does not have a light can one be added?

Hello Yvonne, thank you for your post!

It appears above-listed Frigidaire model number FGB24S5A has a light inside the oven. Therefore the bulb may either be burnt out or the switch may not be working properly. First, I would recommend replacing the bulb with a new 40 watt appliance bulb (instructions can be found in the Owner's Guide). If the issue persists, then I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Fan & Surface Light not working on Frigadaire Microwave Oven. Model PLMV168CC1

Hi J W, thank you for your post! Let's try resetting the microwave by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit on. If both the fan and light continues to be inoperable, then there is a possibility that the control board is experiencing a communication error, a wiring failure or loose connection to the light socket. I would recommend reaching out to a qualified technician or alternatively, visit the manufacturer website for a comprehensive listing of appliance techs in your area that can further assist you.

Have a over the stove microwave has power light, turn table, timer work but wont heat food

If everything works, but the microwave oven does not heat, this is commonly caused by a failed magnetron. The magnetron is the heart of the microwave oven and produces the RF energy that heats your food. In order to replace a defective magnetron, you will need to consider the following:

1. You will need to uninstall the oven from over the range in order to replace the part (you will need to do this anyway, if you decide to buy a replacement oven).

2. Ensure the oven is UNPLUGGED before servicing anything inside the cabinet and remove the exterior case in order to access the magnetron. The High Voltage circuit in these ovens produces between 3,000 and 4,000 VAC and should NOT be worked on unless you are saavy with electronics. In addition, these ovens should NEVER be turned on, or serviced with the exterior cabinet removed, interlocks defeated or high voltage network protective cover removed.
Here are several websites that you can use that illustrate how the oven is assembled:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com

Repairclinic.com is another great website for parts, and has part illustrations/photographs, but does not have the exploded view to show how the appliance is assembled.

NOTE: If you've never repaired an appliance on your own before, a microwave oven is usually not a recommended appliance to start with. Some models can be rather involved in taking apart.

3. The magnetron replacement cost will depend upon the MODEL NUMBER and generally costs between $100 and $200.

Use your appliance model number and review the parts illustrations at the recommended websites to identify and locate parts, and to see if this is something that you may be able easily take apart and reassemble.

NOTE: If your appliance is still under warranty, do not attempt to repair on your own, as this will void any warranty you may still have. Most manufactures have a one year limited warranty against any manufacturer defects, but may have extended warranties on certain parts. If in doubt, contact the manufacturer to find out what is covered.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Everything works on my ge jvm2070 microwave oven but it will not heat anything up

3. The magnetron replacement cost will depend upon the MODEL NUMBER and generally costs around $100.

4. Some model microwave ovens have a thermal cut-out (TCO) associated with the magentron circuit, and/or oven cavity. If these small thermostats trip, they usually render the ENTIRE oven inoperable. The lights would not work and the carousel would not turn. You will need to remove the thermostat from the oven (if equipped) and take a resistance check across the component terminals to determine if it is good or not. A low resistance reading indicates a good thermostat. An infinite reading, indicates a blown thermostat and needs to be replaced. The average replacement cost is about $10. I would recommend you check any fuses associated with the oven before assuming the magnetron has failed.
NOTE: In the model you have listed, here is a list of components you may want to check (refer to the parts diagrams listed at the websites provided):
Item 88 Magnetron part# WB27X10735
Item 90 Thermal Cut-Out part# WB27X10166*
Item 111 Thermostat part# WB27X10195*

*I would recommend checking the Magnetron TCO and Thermostat, first. These parts are fairly inexpensive and are more likely to cause the symptoms you're experiencing. If these components don't solve the problem, then you probably have a blown Magnetron.

Use your appliance model number and review the parts illustrations at the recommended websites to identify and locate parts, and to see if this is something that you may be able easily take apart and reassemble.

Frigidaire Model FEFL78CSA oven not heating

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I tried to respond to your question yesterday, but the web link was not working. Your assumptions are probably correct as the ERC controls all the oven features on an electric range. This is a fairly simple repair job that any do-it-yourselfer can accomplish.

The ERC is easily accessed by removing the back panel of the operator console. The circuit board is screwed in place with a series of wire connectors. Most models have the wire color coding printed on the circuit board for ease of identification. In addition, there should be a wiring diagram located either inside the console, or on the back of the range. This will also list the color codes. If not, I would recommend you label all wiring BEFORE removing to ensure everything is reconnected correctly (a digital camera can come in handy as well).

New ERCs generally do not come with the overlay. This is the plastic printed face-piece that covers the front of the board with all your controls and numbers. Some manufacturers provide this with the new ERC, but MOST do not. The existing one can be reused by carefully removing and reinstalling to the new ERC. You may consider ordering an overlay too if yours is in bad shape.

You can order a replacement at searspartsdirect.com. Pcappliancerepair.com also carries the part for just a few cents cheaper. I recommend the sears website for the helpful exploded view illustrations. Just type in your model number and look under the "Backguard" heading for item number 20 (part #316207529). The overlay is listed as item 20A (part #316220804). If you wish to save a little and order from the other website, use the part numbers provided by Sears for your search criteria as I could not find your model number listed.

Please ensure you UNPLUG the appliance before servicing. No special tools are required. If you have questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
