Printer still keeps saying check ink

Did that start with new ink or with part-used cartridges?

Either way will the printer let you clean its heads and if it will, what happens if you clean them at least four times in a row without doing anything else in between, please? (that includes no test prints, no shutting down and restarting - nothing but cleaning at least four times in a row)

Otherwise are you using the maker's own ink and either way, how long ago did it last print successfully?

Magenta ink wont print

If everything else is working, except for Magenta toner; replace toner with a new one.

BJC 85 not printing after head replacement

I have similar problem. Print head won't print, then I clean with alcohol, and get rid of old ink inside. But then head seems to just shut down. I have several print heads and printers that have plenty of ink, but head won't work. I refuse to think the print head will break so easily. I used my BJC 85 for YEARS with no problem whatsoever, and suddenly, since last winter, I have 4 printers that have stopped printing.
I usually end up just buying another used printer on ebay until that one stops printing.

My canon ip1900 printer does not print even though it sounds like it

Your printer cartridges have likely dried up. You can try removing the print cartridges from the printer and pressing the print head (the bottom where ink comes out) into a moistened paper towel. This will hopefully rehydrate the dried ink in the print nozzle. Ink will likely transfer onto and through the paper towel, so please take precautions to not soil anything.

If this does not work you will likely need new printer cartridges. Refills can be used with decent success for the black but the machine will likely refuse a refilled color. Unfortunately this is how Canon has designed the machine. An original should be used in this instance.

Epson sx105 Refuses to recognise a replacement black ink. Suspect that might be because not used for 4 months

You MAY need to purge the black ink channel in the printer. Use the cleaner supplied in refill kits and a squeeze bulb to get the channel flowing. Some times the printing head has to be removed to clean it if really bad.

Brother DCP-130C refuses to print the magenta ink

If you don't print at least once a month, you will clog the machine. You unfortunately have to get it fixed by a professional or get a new printer. Sorry!

I have never used my printer to print with the colored ink just mainly the black and i just purchased my printer a few months ago now when i go to print it says i am out of ink

Most inkjet printers have a priming pump underneath where print head rests.
Each time you swich on the prnter the noise you hear is the priming pump sucking the ink, in the case of brother printers it is then deposited into a large sponge at the back of printer. Also cleaning the print head too often can empty your inks very fast!
Also when you print BLACK a fine film of another colour is usually printed first! then black over prints...
It is the reason many printers will refuse to work if you do not have all inks in place.

Hope it helps

Won't print(after changing cartridges

blank pages and bad print are not the same problem. Regarding costly ink, a epson printer tech told me once that the secrete to cleaning a bad print head was to run deep clean 7 times in a row and then a head test and it has worked for me several times on other printers (not an expert here, just personal experience).

Additional note, I have seen both cleaning chemicals and cleaning cartridges on the web, example, searching google for one for my printer I would search for cc-bci-6c which is for a canon cyan cleaning cartridge. Don't know if they work but in case it helps.. good luck.

There are stripes through the whole page of what I'm printing

Hi, its the print heads are clogged up, couple of things to try, head cleaning would be the first option, right click on your printer status program ie on the bottom right of the screen the small icon, and you should find maintenance or head cleaning, try doing this a few times, print something out see if any change, if still no success, change the ink cartridge, if still no success last try would be its a head cleaning cartridge to try and clean the blocked print head, if none of the above work you would be better replacing the printer as epson charges £75 + vat to repair any printer, the last time i tried to buy print heads at trade they were about £48+vat & delivery and is really a nightmare to fit with epson, most new epson printers seem to only last about 15 months on average but its the amount of money you can save through using compatible ink, as we only sell epson printers ourselfs and this happens with 99% of returned printers..

Happy New Year
