Usually you need to have GPRS connection, to send MMS.
1. Firs make GPRS active, then request GPRS parameters, and seve them to your phone!
2. The same with MMS.
3. Don't forget to restart, and then you can try to send MMS!

Thanks for using fixya.com!!

First, I suggest that you check with your Network Service Provider for the settings of MMS on your phone, you may ask them to set manually or over-the-air setting. And pls ask them the minimum and maximum MMS per message that you could send and receive.

From your Network provider, you may ask also to activate the GPRS, and they can do it manually or over-the-air set up.

thanks and it is great to help you somehow.

regards!

I know you have done it but just reminding all this

  • contact your service provider
  • tell them to send settings of MMS
  • they will send you a confirmation msg
  • after that they will send you settings
  • save the settings as default settings
this is all you have to do

It seems the settings were wrongly provided . Contact network provider and ask them to provide the settings to your model .

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Congratulations on your new phone.

Any MMS capable cellular phones would have to be configured specifically to the network/provider it is subscribing to. In some instances, sending a text message to a network specific number would reply back with the details/steps/ In some cases, a call to their customer support would likewise result with the same information.

It has to be noted that the phone is relatively new and it is possible that no specific settings/configurations are readily available from the networks. A workaround is to get the settings/configuration for a Viewty model since the Renoir is its successor.

Might you also post back your network/provider.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

HI,
All you need to do is contact your service provider and aks them to message you the details to active the MMS option.Configuring process is different for each and every service provider because each of them give different ip address to activate the MMS.

Hello i can not send picture messages is there anything u can do to help me solce this thanks

To send pic msgs you need to have MMS activated on your phone. If it is activated then there is no way that you would not be able to send pic msgs. Please contact the helpline of your service provider and ask them to activate the MMS on your number. When they do it, they will send a msg to you with the settings. Only after you save this msg that the MMS would be available to you on your phone.

CANNOT VIEW PICS SENT TO LG RENOIR KC910 PHONE.

Normally you'll need Vodafone to send you both the MMS and Internet connection settings. Then once received an save take your battery out of the handset without switching it off, remove your SIM for 10 seconds. Put it back together and send yourself a MMS and you should now be fully set up.

Alternatively here are Vodafone's settings:

Access Point Name: wap.vodafone.co.uk
Username: wap
Password: wap
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 212.183.137.12
Session mode: Permanent
Port number: 9201
MMS Message (Relay) Server URL: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms/

Cant receive picture texts

Hi to send and recive picture texts you will need to contact your network service provider and get them to send the MMS settings and GPRS settings to your handset, without these settings saved to your phone you will not be able to recive the picture texts, hope this helps.
