Hi,
do one thing
take out the AC adapter and then take out the battery, then press hold the power button for 15 seconds and then put in the battery and try to start.

How do i fix my LCD on my laptop?

Hi,
this sounds like your laptop's back light system has a loose connection, try moving the screen around, if the lights flash, it has a loose connection.
Good luck!

No power from my laptop .... cord has power but computer wont power up. No lights coming on computer or anything. Cord has blue light on .

Can you try to remove the battery then plug in the power cord then try to power on the computer, if it still doesn't work, call you manufacturer as you might be having a hardware issue.
The power supply may not be working on this instance.

replace the AC power cord and/or battery.
replace hard drive

Check the power cord at the connector. Hp has a problem with the cords breaking internally. I had a problem with mine and found that if I played with the cord then it worked for a while. I ended up buying a new power supply.

Will not power up. Blue light around inserted AC is on.

Take out the battery and plug it in. If that does not work then the AC jack on your laptop is no good, either that or the power supply inside the computer. You mentioned the blue light, is that on the cord or on the computer?

Let the battery power down, plugged back in and now computer will not come on at all, took battery out, nothing, not even the little battery flash light, even tho power cord in and blue light around cord

Need to check the power cord to see if it is running at 19.5 fisrt. The power cord may be your whole problemand it cheaper than the other problem I see.
If power cord is ok take battery to the battery store to check it's cells. it sounds like to battery is bad. but the power cord should still bring the unit up. If the battery is ok and the power cord checks out the charging unit is bad and is costly.

HP Pavillion dv9700 won't power up

Try removing the battery and using only power cord to turn the laptop on. If that fails, try turning it on without power cord, just on battery.

If none of those work, then most probable cause of your problem is motherboard. Hopefuly you are either under manufacturer warranty or you have extended warranty with your vendor where you've purchased the laptop.

If your laptop turns on on power cord, but without battery, then battery is the problem. Also, if laptop turns on when it's only on battery but it doesn't when you plug ac cord in it, then the adapter is the problem.

Hp pavillion will not turn on, took battery out and put back in still not working. blue light around power cord on and blue lightening bolt flashes

Hi Iceprincess5

The three flashing lights indicate the battery is dead. Since it still wont power up with the cable plugged in I'd say the port has gone. Try wiggling the adapter about in the port to see if it begins to charge. If not then you would need to take it to a laptop repair centre to get a new dc port soldered on or buy a docking station.

Compaq presario notebook v6128tu won't turn on

You can try to remove that battery and try to turn it on again.
Sometimes this will happen if that don't work the remove the power supply and try to turn it on.
If you see the blue light around the power input then it's obviously getting power but it's redirecting it somehow which brings us to the battery again heh.
Let me know if this does not work
Happy Holidays
