How to bridge a 1 channel 1000 punch 55amp

You can not bridge a 1 channel amp. Bridging is when you combine the output of a bridgeable two channel amp into one channel, typically to power a sub woofer.

The problem is that the driver circuit is also damaged. Try powering up the unit with the output transistors disconnected. Measure each pad and report the results here. You should see something like 0.6,B+,0.0 on each set of three. Some will be negative rather than + (-0.6,B-, 0.0).

How do u bridge the rockford fosgate p325.1?

Hello... sorry you are having a problem. If you are running the 325.1, that amplifier is strictly a mono-block amplifier (1 channel) so it is not possible to bridge it. There are 2 speaker connections on the amp but both positives and negatives are connected on the circuit board in the amp. Hope this helps. Good luck with your venture.

Due to no electrical safety fues on the amp my channels burnt up because the speaker blew can i buy channels for my amp or do i throw it away I own a punch 301s 900watts

your amp can be repaired by a professional to hard for someone without electronics training. you may find it is to expensive to repair. new will probably be your best bet.but do find out about repair before buying new. I have a local shop here that has a 60 dollar fee to look at it then if parts are needed they have an hourly rate plus parts. good luck

I have an old RF punch 40.2 that needs repair. I am looking for a schematic or instruction on what I should look for. I think it blew a capacitor? Anytime I try to power it, it immediately blows the...

If a cap was blown it would do one of two things 1 is the top would blow upwards or bow and 2 would b that the solder joint came loose from the excessive heat

Amp or something cutting out.

Power caps store power from the battery and they feed constant power to the amp so you dont get no drainage! this could be one reason..

have you bridged both subs and wat gauge wire are you using.

these amps can only handle one bridged sub at 4ohms and this amp is recommended that u use 8gauge or higher. if your running to subs i normally reccomend using 4 gauge power wire as you get more rms power feed to the amp

you can get a power cap or anyother accersory cheap online at my suppliers.. caraudiosecurity << click to enter >> hope this helps and please rate me :)

sounds like the D40D8 transistor the one that stands straight up on the board and not heatsunk! there are two of them. could have a cold solder joint there. have had a few of these problems from people doing hack repairs to them. they look like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290297644906&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

No power

hi, some car amps need a high current remote supply to turn on. first make sure that you are using the proper gauge b+ and gnd cable for this particular rockford amp. then try switching the remtote turn on to this amp thru a simple Relay.(use the remote supply from your headunit as a trigger for the relay). do these connections without connecting any spks or rca line inputs. once amp is switching on then connect all other cables. OR lastly check the main fuse on the RF amp?? cheers

Blown fuse

This can be caused by too low of an impedance from the way the speakers are wired, bad speakers, crossed/shorted speaker wires, and sometimes even a poor charging system (if the amp goes into protect when the volume is turned up) and is usually what the problem is 95% of the time. As you said, very possible to be shorted output devices or shorted power supply rectifiers. Beyond that, it could be a shorted filter cap, some sort of short across the power rails, some sort of short across the output, shorts across the primary. And of course loose hardware - any missing screws or nuts? A loose one under a pc board can short out most anything.
