On the phones sides there are two buttons. Press the lower button severally and the tone reduction will be displayed on the screen. Alternatively, go to settings, then select sound profiles then select normal then option, edit then scroll to keypad tone then mute.
Hi there! If you're hearing a noise or a tone whenever you text then ill be advising you to check the tone settings on your phone. It might be that the KEYPAD TONE in your phone is enabled. If you want to adjust the volume of youe keypad tone then you can just go to SETTINGS.And after that please go to TONES/TONE SETTINGS and kindly look for KEYPAD TONE.You can lower down or turn off the volume of the keypad tone on that option. If you have another kind of phone then you can try looking for small buttons on the side of the phone. You can press the "Down" button to lower the key volume. Please press it repeatedly to continue lowering the volume. Press "Up" button if you decide to turn the key tones back on.
Okay go into your menu and go to your Fourth option which is a little silver wheel which has the options call date&time all that.Go to sound which is your third option. It will have an option that says volume. Go into that and it will say keypad you can shut the noise off that way hope it helped if you need more clarification let me know.
on the left side off the phone there should be a slider button press on the arrow that shows down and it should show you a volume meter on the display keep pessing the down button until you cant hear any more sounds from the keypad.
Hi, for anyone still having this problem with the newer Samsung phones, I just solved the issue I posted up earlier.
To disable keypad tones, but keep your ringtone etc active, go to Profiles -> edit your 'Normal' profile. Press right on the selection pad twice to get to phone-related settings. Scroll down to the bottom of that page of settings to the 'Phone sound volume' option, select it and adjust it to zero.
This will turn off all keypad noises and other irritating beeps while not actually turning your phone on to 'silent mode', which would disable your ringtone etc.
Hope this helps, I know I was going insane with this phone until I figured out how to turn those sounds off.
