I want to turn the constant sounds you hear everytime you press a button on the phone. This is getting frustrating, most phone have keypad tones 'tunr off' feature under phone settings. Why is it so difficult on this phone???

to increase the sound on your message alerts please goto Menu, Settings, Phone Profiles and then highlight the profile you are currently using. Then press Options and then Edit. In this menu scroll to your right once to access your message alerts. From here please make sure the volume of the alert is set to 7
Okay go into your menu and go to your Fourth option which is a little silver wheel which has the options call date&time all that.Go to sound which is your third option. It will have an option that says volume. Go into that and it will say keypad you can shut the noise off that way hope it helped if you need more clarification let me know.
If you notice the 3,6,9, and # are all on the same column. There is probably some corrosion under the keypad from a spill or moisture. If cleaning the membrane switches won't work try replacing the keypad (the electronic portion, not the rubber). Repost if you need instructions. I can put some parts up on ebay for you too.

The following might be worth a try....
Resetting Handsets & Base Unit:
1) Unplug AC adaptor from base unit for 30 seconds.
2) Reset handsets by removing/reinstalling all batteries.
Re-register each handset to the base unit by following the steps below:
1. Press MENU, #, 1, 3, 0 on the handset.
2. On the base unit, press and hold the LOCATOR button for 4 seconds until the registration tone sounds.
3. On the handset, press the soft key below OK and then wait until a long beep sounds.
4. Press the OFF button to exit. Situate the base unit in a different location.
Change the line mode from A to B or vice-versa by following the steps below:
1. Press MENU on the handset.
2. Press #, 1, 2, 2.
3. Press the up or down arrow key to select the desired setting.
4. Press the soft key below SAVE.
5. Press the OFF button to exit.
If the problems persist, your unit is malfunctioning and is in need of repair or replacement.
1.From the main screen, press OK MENU, use the right navigation key to highlight SETTINGS & TOOLS and press OK. 2. PRESS (BUTTON 4ghi) SOUNDS SETTINGS. 3.Press (button 1@) CALL SOUNDS. or Press (butoon 1@) CALL RINGTONE to get new ringtones from "GET IT NOW" (GET NEW APPLICATIONS) or choose from the pre loaded ringtones. 4.Press (button 2abc) CALL VIBRATE to turn Call Vibrate On or Off. 5. Press OK to save settings
