Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Washer floods the floor for unknown reason

We have had the Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washing machine for 4.25 years.  Just recently it drained water onto the floor.  It did this twice.  This not only floods the tile floor, but the fiberglass insulation under it.  Replacing the insulation is about 8 hours of labor (installing it correctly, not just jamming it in as most people do it), not including the time to go and buy it.  I asked a major appliance person over the phone as to what the problem might be, but of course, it cannot be diagnosed without an examination.  Just for him to walk through the door would cost $75 and that only covers an estimate, no parts or labor.  I figured that that would run at least another $125-175.  In all, $200-250, with the higher figure being half the cost of a new washer.  I finally decided to buy a new GE with a 3-year warranty.
Don't need assistance or a response.  I am just listing a problem with this machine.

Unless you have a busted drain hose the water could be backing up from your sewer line.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II is not draing properly and water is flooding out during spin cycle.

remove the hose up where it connects to the tub and see if there isn't anything stuck there, you could still have something stuck between the tubs and it usually will end up here or you could have a damaged pump from the piece of towel you pulled out of it or there's another piece still up in between the tubs and hopefully you'll find it at the hole where the drain hose is.

No problem with Filter.
Pressure switch is not working, it is not sensing the water level. There could be one more reason can cause this issue. Please check the Pressure HOSE whether is punchered or not.

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II will not fill up with water.

ck drain hose end of hose should be at least 30-36 inches from floor also end of hose needs to fit loosely in standpipe ..if drainhose is too tight siphoning will occur

Washing machine continues to drain and will not fill with water

The end of the drain hose is too low or is stuck too far down the house stand pipe and is causing the machine to siphon water out at the same rate which it is filling. If this wasn't the case, it would be flooding the floor

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II keeps taking water.

ck your drain nose/drainline, chances are you have along hose, perhaps even draining along the floor behind hte unit, into a "closed" drain system. in which cawee the wwater is syphoning out during the rinse cycle, youlll needt o raise the drain hose to above 48" and have it drain into a stand pipe to prevent siphoning effect
