Question about Intel D101GGCL Motherboard
I am using intel D101GGC mother board. I was using 256MB RAM. Recently I fitted an another 1GB RAM. But it is not getting detected. I tried again by removing the 256MB, then it is getting detected. I also tried with both 1GB and 128MB ram. Every time only the one with smaller memory get detected. My problem is when I insert 2 RAMs together only one is getting detected, with smaller memory. Both slots are working properly. May I know what is the problem. Is there any settings with the motherboard??
INSTALL BOTH RAMS THEN GO TO THE BIOS MENU IF THEY ARE NOT THERE TRY TO SET THE BIOS SETTINGS TO FAIL SAFE DEFAULTS ALSO TRY TO SWAP THE RAMS WITH THE SLOTS SEE THE FREQUENCY OF BOTH THE MEMORY MODULES IF IT DIFFERS TRY TO REPLACE THE NEWER ONE WITH THE SAME FREQUENCY SAME AS TO THE OLDER RAM

Hi im josh in cebu phils. friend no setting to be modified the problem is in *********** board.it can not detect two memory at a time especially having different value. coz when the memory works it will swap since one of the memory is hgher it will create complications.so to avoid such problem you choose to use the same value of memory in both memory banks. like if youre using 256 of the 1st memory bank use alson 256 for 2nd memory bank. then try to use the same brand for better. good luck!
