In stat lists my list starts at l2. how do i start at l1


Press the [STAT] key.
Use arrow to move cursor to SetUpEditor
SetUpEditor command echoes on main claculator screen.
Press [ENTER]
Calculator will answer Done
Press [STAT] and select [1:Edit]
Type in the values in your lists.

My hard drive I can't Format


It depends how your tring to format it. If your operating system is running on the same drive it will fail. You would need to boot off another OS or boot of the XP / vistra CD and format it via the installation wizards.

Reinstall XP on Compaq Evo N1000e - XP disk will not boot


Use a program to write zeros to the drive. Your hard drive manufacturer provides a program to do this. Then format the drive and then install your XP

That's correct, I figured it out, more like stumbled across the drive and how to remove it.

Mouse cursor moving by itself


In windows xp go into start menu, then into control panel then click on appearance and themes, then move your mouse over to mouse pointers click on it , uncheck "enhance pointer precision, and click apply, that will stop the mouse from acting crazy, this will work with dell mouse pointers and most.

Compaq Evo D5 power light flashes red.


try to get to the jumper next to the cmos battery in the mainboard. by changing its position for some seconds while power is off and putting it back , cmos is cleard. start the board hit delete to enter setup and exit saving chages.
