Question about Washing Machines
When my machine lid is down, it beeps as though the lid is up, i was having to add extra weight to the lid to allow the machine to wash but was regularly stopping as though the lid as been lifted but was still down. I have to move the weight around and it keeps washing til next time. Today i lifted the machine lid up and a lot of rust? came out of the little plastic thing on the inside/ left side. i am not sure wat the rust? was, but i removed it and now my machine lid acts as though its permantly up.
Either the lid switch is defective (replace it), or the cabinet is rusted enough the the switch is not seated properly from movement and it's not engaging with the lid strike.
