Vulcan ducted heating

Do a continuity test on the heating elements, and if they're good then do the same on the sequencers or contactors, whichever you have. The sequencers (or if you have contactors turn on the heating elements). All the fan does is blow air. It blows against the heating element to put out hot air. Either your sequencers/contactor or your heating element is defective.Wait, each sequencers is connected to a fuse.Check the sequencer fuse too. Find the sequencer/contactor wherever the wire feeding the heating element is coming from.

Frigidaire Model FEQB2152FE1. Start dryer and after 5 minutes "Ad" code; lights blink dryer drum turns, but does not dry clothes

Check that exhaust air vent is venting air. If not, clear vent and retry.
Check that heating element is heating. if not, check overheat switch for continuity with power unplugged. If you don't have continuity get new switch. If it reads ontinuity then suspect the heating element.

My dryer is only blowing cold air

It could be the heating element, a safety limit, a control problem, or an electrical problem. A heating coil is used to warm the clothes as they get tossed gently inside the drum. A blower mounted on the motor pulls air through the heating element into the drum and out the exhaust. The element gets old and brittle with use and eventually needs replacement. That is what you check first.f1447b5.jpg On gas dryers vibration and age will cause the igniter to crumble and fail.76b07e9.jpg If it turns out the element is fine then one of the safety's might be blown. These safety's are set to a certain temperature2d03504.jpg
for the dryer to operate safely. The drum temp control (7) for cotton is 160f. A limit on the heater housing is 250f.(3) If it fails another smaller limit is mounted nearby that blows at 300f.(1) If that temp exceeds 350f a duct fuse mounted on the blower housing opens and kills most dryers.(5) On gas dryers the duct fuse will kill the gas assembly but the dryer will still run. If all of those safetys are good the timer could be the problem. The timer has a terminal on it that runs down to the heating element. If you suspect it is bad you can check it with a meter. That leg of the timer should have continuity with other terminals on the timer at different spots on the timer. ee50c38.jpgTurning the timer and checking for continuity will give a clue. If you cannot get continuity with any other terminal on the timer at any position on the dial then you have a burned contact in the timer. If that turns out to be good, you would need to inspect the electrical outlet for proper power to the machine.284caa2.jpg On American models the motor runs on 120 volts but the heating element must have 240 volts. If you have more questions just post a comment. Good luck on repairing your machine. I have some repair photos: HERE

It blows air but it is cold it does not get hot had thermail limi

Hello,

Depending on the type and make or model of dryer check drum turns, filters are not blocked or condenser is not blocked.then if all ok it could be the safety thermostats or the heating element.

Hope this helps.

Ok got a GE DVL223EB1WW Insufficent Heat

Yes think so , what should happen is element heats up controlled by fan blowing cold air across it this then heats to whatever thermostat is set to switch at, which in turn controls heat level..Air is then exausted via hose to waste unless its a condenser drier which then turns the steam back to water / which is collected in a waste condesate drum..hope this is helpful...

Frigidaire FEQ332ES-It starts out ok, then trips the breaker, then no heat, continues to run but only blows cold air

sounds like your heat coil element is shorted, this coil is in the inside behind the drum..

replace coil and this will solve your problem, the coils break , you get no heat but voltage goes to heat elem that is shorted, trips breaker

Tumble dryer running but only blowing cold air

If your dryer is turning then things are not so bad. If a dryer is not heating then you need to check a few things.

First disconnect the power to the unit. Then you must check the heating element and the limits which are mounted on the heating box.
Remove one lead from the element and check for continuity thru the element. If you have continuity then check the limit by measuring for continuity, again you must remove one of the leads. This should solve your problem

Whirlpool dryer LER5656EZ3 no heat

If the heating element read 0 ohms with the wires removed, you have an open heating element, (should be around 10 ohms) replace heating element and you should be ready to rock.
