Check for the entry in Start->Programs->Startup or in the registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" and delete the executable name.

Delete aol account

Accounts can only be deleted by AOL. This usually happens when the account has not been used for a long time or at account holders request. The AOL software on your laptop can be deleted using the "Add or remove softwrae" option in Windows.

I have a few names in the drop down window when signing into AOL that I would like to remove

If you are using the AOL software, the names listed on the Sign On window are all the screen names on your AOL account. The names cannot be removed from the list unless you actually delete the names from your AOL account. If you would like to keep the names on your AOL account, then the names will have to stay on the Sign On window.
