There is no official Abit presence in this Newsgroup. As
a result, the *only* place that Abit make announcements
about their products is in their own forums on the Abit

Under the Intel Chipset Socket 478 topic, you will find
several threads about temperature problems with the BE7,
the BH7 and the IC7/IC7-G.
One of those threads with the topic "Bad Temp Sensor on
BE7" contains a set of posts to/from Abit Marketing about
this very topic.
An acknowledgement of the problem and a reply from Abit
marketing includes comments about other motherboard
models as well.
Since the problem occurs across a wide range of different
Abit motherboards, it's obviously something basic in the
fundamental BIOS code used for the hardware monitoring
on many different Abit motherboards.
This means a thorough review of the foundation BIOS
code *may* be required -- so there's no guarantee of a
"quick fix".
Furthermore, once the appropriate fixes have been
developed, it may take a while to roll out the changes
through all the various Abit motherboard models.
Note: No further discussion on this topic will be
forthcoming from me unless there is substantial
delay on the rollout.
As far as I'm concerned right now, It's being handled.
Consequently, I am letting the solution-providers do
their job -- and staying out of their way while they do.
