Question about Logitech Webcam
I had the samething with a VX-1000 a few weeks ago. The Microsoft software was conflicting with another capture card I have installed. I disable the other capture device in the Device Manager and downloaded the newest Lifecam S/W from MS.
To open Device Manager, right click on START, right click on My Computer and left click on Manage.
When the window opens, locate Device Manger in the left side list and click on it. It will open on the right side. Look through the list under Sound for another audio capture device. Right click on it and the choose Disable. Close everything down to your desktop.
Next, open the Control Panel and go to Add/Remove programs. Remove the current installation of Lifecam. Now go to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=ICE and fill in the blank fields, webcam, model, OS, etc. and downlaod the lastest version of the software. Disconnect the webcam and run the istallation. Plug the camera back in when you are prompted to do so.
I also found that it worked better for me when I used a seperate microphone.
Good luck, and please let me know how it works out for you.
