Question about Capcom Devil May Cry 4 for Xbox 360
Whenever I try to play Devil May Cry 4 on my brand new Xbox 360, it will try to load the game and then get stuck. It works on the same console at my friend's house but not at my house. The disc is in mint condition and spotless. There seems to an irregular sheen, but other than that, I can't find a single reason that it should't be working. Can you tell me what's wrong?
The reason for this issue might be that there are some corrupt files on the harddisk/memory unit that the game has stored on them, try to load the game without having the harddrive/ memory unit attached.
If this works you will have to perform maintenance on the harddrive/memory unit, you can do that in the system tab on the Dashboard.
Another reason might be that your consoles DVD-drive laser is getting weak/ was defective from the beginning since the console is quite new, this is a well-known problem.
If it is really only this single game that the console doesnt read you can rule that out but if your DVD-Drive should be defective it will have to be repaired.
Just call Xbox support they will replace the DVD-Drive with a new one as it is still covered by the warranty.
