Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

I was playing a game and we had a thunder storm and the electricity went out. Everything came back on in 5 minutes. Everything except my WII Console. It was on a surge protector with the TV and VCR. They are fine. The WII console won't come on.

Storm last night, now Wii won't power up

Unplug everything! There is a "breaker" in the power supply and it may need to be reset. Just unplug all cables from the TV and outlets. Let it sit for a couple hours then plug everything back in and it should work fine. If not then the power supply has shorted out due to a strong power surge. You can claim it under your home owners insurance or call Nintendo and try to get it replaced. Thanks! Good luck and happy gaming!!

Fried Wii

Unplug the power supply from the wii and the wall. You must unplug it from both. Wait a full 5 min. and then plug it into the wii then the wall. This resets the power supply. 9 times out of 10 this is all you have to do.
