Question about PDAs

3 Answers

I have two JASJARs. On one I can surf to web sites (even google mobile sites) with no problem. On the other, while I can surf to most sites, google mobile applications, like calendar, cause an IE error "Errors on page, page cannot be displayed" (well, very similar to that). I'm stumped, and have concluded to this point that the machines (bought 12 months apart between 2005-6) have a slightly different version of Windows Mobile 5 on them. Is there a way this can be fixed? I should also mention that for the achine that has the problem I haven't owned it for most of its life, and there are suspicious files on it (like a registry editor) which ight have been misused in the past... Anyway, pleased if you have any ideas..

Hello,

Have you tried doing a hard reset on the phone?

If you did not own this phone for its whole live and it has suspios files on it i would say just start over.

To hard reset:
You have to press both Softkeys and while still pressing them put the stylus in the soft reset opening on the back side. Then let go of the keys and retrieve the stylus.

After this, you should press the zero key to confirm the hard reset.

And this is an update if you want to try that first. Some times with updates the update will over write the edit files to the original. I am not sure about this case but worth a shot.

if you dont trust that just google "update for jasjar"

Hope this helped and please rate

Best site for downloading mobile application.

If you don't want to use Google play, the next best Android app site is Amazon's app store. It offers a featured free app every day (these are mostly paid for apps) that the developer has authorized Amazon to promote it and distribute it for free to others.

However, your question pertains to PDA software apps.. so for the pocket PC apps you can try:
http://download.cnet.com/s/pda/

or, you might find this site useful:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/

i've also had good experiences with Softonic's site:

Does blackberry 7230 have internet?

Hello.

The BlackBerry 7230 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone.
The BlackBerry 7230 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java

However, you need to have a data plan from your provider (T-Mobile, etc) and access the Internet through their network. Does not have Wi-Fi capability, which means that you cannot use a private network, such as home, wi-fi cafe, etc. to access the Internet.

Hope this helps.

I need to connect to the internet

hi,

The capability to access the Internet is commonly referred to as GPRS, 1x/CDMA and/or 3G.

The settings for accessing the Internet (APN, username, password) vary from mobile operator to mobile operator. If your mobile phone is not currently configured for it (e.g for downloading games, ringtones, surfing the internet from your mobile browser...):

1. have your phone's manufacturer and model name ready
2. contact your mobile operator to request the Internet access settings
3. you should get the settings sent to your phone in an SMS message
4. save these settings as your default settings

In case you have all the information for the settings but you need/want to manually configure your phone, the instructions for doing it depend on the manufacturer and model name of your phone.

Phone manufacturers often help either in configuring your phone by sending you an SMS, or in publishing the instructions to be followed for manual configuration. Visit your mobile phone manufacturer's web site to see how they can help you:

If your phone is a Windows Mobile device, follow these steps to configure your device to access the Internet:

1. enter the Start menu
2. select Settings
3. open the Connection tab
4. select Connection
5. open the Advanced tab
6. select Select Network, then New
7. select Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
8. enter the data specific to your operator

Hope this guide help you.

Don't forget to rate me. Thanks...

Regards,
John

Horribly slow web and gateway error 502

a couple of questions first, do you have a blackberry account with t-mobile or is it the personal account with internet and email?
have you emptied your cache files lately.
what size is your microsd card or do you have one?
have you made sure your internet settings are correct. one your own not at the t-mobile store.
I think I can help you get better service but lets see how it's set up first. you can email me back at ipodslingeratlivedotcom
