Question about Danby DWM99W Top Load Washer
I have a Danby Top Load Portable Automatic Washing Machine--------DWM99W. It washes fine, but when it gets to the spin cycle, it won't spin. Sometimes it will cut in for a second or two and then that will be it. It will just drain out the water but no spinning. I can also smell a burning smell, whenever it cuts in for a second or two. The drum never spins around. I've also noticed that only one of the pulleys that supposed to spin the belt around is going. Not sure if that is how it supposed to be or not. I have replaced the belt, but it still isn't working. Could you please suggest to me how to solve this problem??
Hi there.I think it could be that when the belt was changed the bolt wasnt tightened onto the flat side of the spindle.I am talking about the small pulley that comes off to replace the belt.It has one flat side in which the bolt needs to be otherwise it might just spin because the laundry weight. Quick question I have this machine and it needs a replacement belt.I cant find one anywhere!!!!Where were you able to find one???? Good Luck

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping/or sound
during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and
redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
