I have the same problem some times. If you have an external sd card plugged into the phone, sometimes when the phone is initializing it times out trying to read the card. If you remove the external sd card during boot up and then push it back in once it boots, you will most likely successfully boot all the way up.

My wing t-mobile display was locked. And what

You need to do a hard-reset. This will erase your added content (third party programs stored in phone memory, notes store in phone memory, etc.)

You must press the reset button while pressing the left and right soft-buttons at the same time. You need your stylus or something small enough to press the recessed button next to the volume control. Once you press the reset button, keep holding the soft buttons it is reset. The display lock should be gone... as well as everything else you put on it.

Hope this helps,
Bill

My wing keeps locking up and I have to reset it. This is my second wing and it is doing the same thing as the old one. In addition, my email is extremely slow. Help please!

You can factory reset it. But unless your contacts are on your SIM card you will lose everything. However, if you are able to use your phone at all you can run a backup program like PIM backup to save all of your goodies.

Anyway, here's how to set it back to factory (a.k.a. Hard Reset)

1. Both of the top soft keys down at the same time
2. While still holding the soft keys, press the "reset" button on the side of the phone. (you'll need to use your stylus)
3. It will bring up a black screen with text asking you to confirm. Press the "send" key to confirm.
Voila, there you go.

By the way this procedure is kind of odd hand placement so it may take a few tries to get it completely.

Let me know how it works for you.

The T-mobile wing, which won't make a sound anymore. You'll wanna back up your content to your PC using the software provided. Active Sync Window 6.0. You can dowload it from www.htic.com/activesync for free. Just connect via USB cord. Once that is all backed up, do a hard reset.

Slow Responses

Do a backup with PIM Backup and them hard reset the phone (Factory default)

To hard reset the wing: Hold both soft keys down while hitting the reset button with your stylus (the little hole on the side). Should bring up a black screen with some text. Press "send" key to finish process.

*Note it takes a couple of tries to get all of the buttons pressed together. May not work first try.

Wing

You can do a hardware reset of the phone. To do this hold the two soft keys in the front of the phone while depressing the reset button on the side. The rest button is located at the bottom of the volume level slider on the left hand side of the phone. You will need to stick a pen or something in there..The two soft keys are directly on the front of the phone right above the "ok" button and windows button.

It is very important that you do that all at the same time.. Release the "reset" button while still holding the two soft key buttons. After a couple seconds a black screen will appear telling you that it will erase everything..Just accept and that's it
