Question about Porter Cable 4 5 Gallons 150PSI Job Boss Oil Lube Mobile Air Compressor ? C3551
I have model 919.167243 15 gal 1.5 running hp. anyways i was sandblasting and i thinki ran it to long with out cool down and it started to make a higher picthed sound and would build pressure over 20-25 tops. i bought a head gasket kit and new rod kit which includes the the sleeve and ring and new rod with bearing. i put it back together and same thing no pressure build up any help or advice i checked the big vavle at the tank and the piston moves freely in and out. plz help
Check valve plate and gasket for anything broken, also when you installed the piston into the cylinder did you push it up from the bottom? if the sealing ring is installed with it folded down towards the crankshaft will allow air to blowby, it needs to be facing up to pump correctly.

If you assembled things correctly disconnect any hoses and check for air leaks and check the inlet and discharge valves are good
