Question about Sony KDF-50E2000 50" HDTV

Projection Lamp I have just installed a new projection lamp and it is properly in place. We followed all the instructions and the TV picture is beautiful. My problem is that the warning that the lamp is nearly out of life still shows up when we turn the TV on. I cannot find my owners manual, so I am at a loss on what to do. THANK YOU! Fran Earle

Sadly, in this TV, you have to get into the servicer menu of the TV to reset the lamp timer. Until you do this, the prompt will continue to come on. Check with Sony 1800-222-SONY for assistance.

You do NOT need to go into the service menu or call Sony. This is a simple fix. Click on blue "menu" button on your original Sony remote. The displayed menu now appears on your screen. Then scroll down to "Setup". Once in "setup" then scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN until you see "Lamp Replacement" (you have to scroll all the way because the "lamp replacement" option is hidden). Select "Lamp Replacement" and you'll be asked "has the lamp been replaced?". Click YES and you'll remove the nag screen when turning on the TV on.

Change lamp on TV model WD52525 reset does not work

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Rear-Projection TVs have a lamp, which picks up the picture and projects it on the TV screen. A burned-out or connected lamps are two of the most common problems for Rear-Projection TVs. First, you will want to confirm the bulb is still good. If the bulb is bad then then replace it immediately. Second consult your user manual and verify the lamp and lamp cover are installed properly. Most Rear-Projection TVs have warning light which notify you when there are lamp problems. Again consult the user's manual to see what each light means.

Hi, i changed the lamp on my LG LCoS Projection TV Model 71SA1D. Everything was great for about an hour or so. The lamp warning indicator reappeared and the TV shutdown only to come back on within a minute...

it may be something with the new lamp or the projector overall. try to turn it off, disconnect the power cord, press the power button for about 10 seconds, remove the lamp and reconnect it making sure it is properly installed. then place the cover securely and try to test it again. you may also need to reset the lamp time for it, refer to the manual of your device for the instructions.

Sony Wega KF-42E200A Projection Bulb

New bulb is just fine.
3 blink shows that lamp cover after replacement of bulb in TV is not fixed properly or not seated well in its position.
Put new bulb and carefully place back lamp cover in its position because lamp cover will press tinny safety switch inside that will send signal to system control of TV that lamp is installed properly.
Turn On TV and get vivid picture of Sony.
Thanks.

Replacement lamp

Remove the front cover from the TV set. This is held by a snap on. Pull the front cover outwards until the quick snap on disengages.
Remove the screw securing the lamp cover with a Phillips head screw driver
Remove the two screws that hold the lamp in place. Remove the lamp unit by holding the lamp handle, then pulling outwards.
Exercise caution when removing the lamp unit to avoid injury to your fingers
Replace with the new lamp.
Place the removed lamp into the empty box of the replacement lamp. Do not touch the front glass of the new lamp or its
receptacle. This may shorten the life of the lamp and reduce the picture quality.
• Push the lamp unit back to its original position.
• Tighten the screws firmly on the lamp unit. If they are loose, the TV may not operate correctly. Install the front cover. There is also a video on youtube just do a search on how to install a projection lamp. Hope this is helpful
