Question about IBM ThinkPad T42 Notebook
My laptop freezes up and won't go farther than the windows login screen. I'm trying to get to the control panel to diconnect the login screen from requesting the password, but I can't even get into safemode. Everything locks up. I can get to the safe mode request screen ( by continously pressing F8) but nothing happens......
If it's not a hardware problem, then you can salvage this computer by installing Linux on it. Mandriva 2009.0 works fine
on a T42 Thinkpad, and it's not that difficult a transition from Windows.
