I AM HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE ! But before mine turns off, it shows a blurry squiggly red mark on the screen then shuts off and wont turn back on sometimes for several hours.. And everytime I CAN get it back on, I have to unlpug the whole thing and plug it back in...
are you outlets functioning properly? if yes and your sure its the tv, then it sounds like the power supply in the unit has gone bad, or it make be fused, which in that case you would just need to reset it or replace the fuse. I would try trouble shooting on your on first, as a repair can sometimes cost as much as the unit
we have a lot of problems with samsung tv's. if you can i would take it back and get another brand. if not do not remove that back it would void your warranty. if you take it in for repair it will take about two weeks to fix. the only really thing you can try is to unplug it for 5 mins and then plug it back in. this might reset the tv... but do not bet on it. good luck :) let me know if you need more info?
Your TV may something arcing inside of it. Maybe a loose connection. Since it is probably under warranty you should get in touch with the dealer where you purchased it. Perhaps you can get the whole TV replaced.
